Galatama
Liga Sepak Bola Utama (English: ''Premier Football League''), commonly known by its acronym Galatama, was a semi professional football league in Indonesia, established in 1979 by the Indonesian Football Association, PSSI. Prior to the establishment of the competition, an amateur football league named Perserikatan had existed since 1931. Both Perserikatan and Galatama existed and run in parallel until 1994 when they were both merged to form a new, unified league called Liga Indonesia. 1982–83 Galatama
The 1982–83 Galatama was the third season of Galatama that was held from 28 August 1982 to 28 May 1983. It was the first season in which the league was split into two divisions. It was also the first season which saw foreign players compete in officially sanctioned Indonesian football competition. Liga Indonesia
The Indonesian football league system is a series of league system for association football clubs in Indonesia. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional). Liga Indonesia is managed by PSSI, the Indonesian national football federation. There are three levels of competition in the hierarchy recently. The top two in the hierarchy are professional competitions, whereas the rest are amateur. Structure Liga 1 is the first-tier of football league in Indonesia. The 1979–80 Galatama was the inaugural season of the Indonesian Galatama football competition since its establishment in 1979. The season was played from 17 March 1979 to 6 May 1980 and Warna Agung won the championship. Arema Football Club is an Indonesian professional football club based in Malang, East Java. The club competes in the Liga 1, the top flight of Indonesian Football. They are considered one of the best and most successful football clubs in the country, and dons the nickname ("The Mad Lions" in Javanese). Bambang Nurdiansyah
Bambang Nurdiansyah (born 28 December 1960 in Banjarmasin, East Kalimantan, Indonesia) is an Indonesian football coach and former footballer. Playing career Before becoming a coach, he was a footballer, mostly with Pelita Jaya and Indonesia national football team for 11 years (1980–1991). He also played for Yanita Utama and Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian on the Galatama era on 1980s. Managerial career In the 2008 season Nurdiansyah coached Indonesia Super League club, Arema Indonesia, but withdrew having just undergone four matches due to feeling pressured by Arema's support groups, Aremania. He later went to coach PSIS Semarang in the 2008/09 season. He coached PSIS before in 2005, winning trophies for the club, but resigned due to family reason. Arseto
Arseto Football Club, which is commonly referred to simply as Arseto, was an Indonesian football club based in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. They last played in the Liga Indonesia Premier Division. The club was established in 1978 by Sigit Harjojudanto, who was the son of former President Suharto. At first, the club was based in Jakarta. However, the club moved to Solo in 1983 after Suharto declared 9 September as National Sports Day during the inauguration of Sriwedari Stadium. During its existence the club managed to win the 1990–92 Galatama title, as well as the 1985 Piala Galatama and 1985 Galatama-Perserikatan Invitational Championship. Yanita Utama
Yanita Utama football club was an Indonesian semi professional association football club from Bogor, West Java. The club was founded in 1979 under the name Jaka Utama, headquartered in Lampung. It was involved in a bribery case in Lampung, then Jaka Utama was bought by a businessman from Pitoyo Haryanto from Bogor and changed its name to Yanita Utama in 1983 by paying compensation of 25 million rupiah. The introduction and inauguration of the new name was carried out by holding a small tournament called the 1983 Yanita Utama Cup, which was held at the Persija Stadium, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Only four clubs took part in the championship, namely Mercu Buana (Medan), Pardedetex (Medan), Arseto (Solo), and Yanita Utama (Bogor) as hosts. Ricky Yacobi
Ricky Yacobi (born Ricky bin Yacub; 12 March 1963 – 21 November 2020) was an Indonesian football player. He usually played as a striker and was one of the most prominent Indonesian footballers of the 1980s. His nickname was the "Indonesian Paul Breitner". He made a name for himself at the 1986 Asian Games when he led the Indonesian national football team. In 1988, Japanese club Matsushita (currently known as Gamba Osaka) bought him, but he failed to make an impact with the team because of the climate and weather conditions. He only played 6 games for the side, scoring one goal. After retiring, he opened a football school called Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) Ricky Yacobi in Jakarta, which he operated. He also served as manager of one of the first Indonesian division clubs, Jakarta Matador FC. Fandi bin Ahmad (born 29 May 1962) is a Singaporean professional football manager and former player. During his professional career, he mainly played as a striker, but also played as a midfielder. Persatuan Sepakbola Mitra Kutai Kartanegara is an Indonesian association football club based in Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. They currently compete in the Liga 3. History This club was founded in 1979 as NIAC Mitra. NIAC stood for New International Amusement Center, a major casino in Surabaya during the 1970s. In 1983, the team played a friendly match against Arsenal F.C., winning by 2–0. NIAC was dissolved by its owner, Alexander Wenas, on 24 September 1990. The club was revived under the name of Mitra Surabaya in 1993. After relegation to the First Division, the club moved to Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan and were renamed Mitra Kalteng Putra (MKP) in 1999.
