Florentina Iusco
Florentina Costina Iusco, born Marincu (born 8 April 1996 in Deva) is a Romanian track and field athlete who competes in the long jump. Iusco grew up in Deva, Romania, a city famous for gymnastics. She was interested in sports and as her physique was not suited to gymnastics she focused on athletics instead. Her international debut came at the senior level when she was aged sixteen. At the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships she came 17th, failing to go beyond six metres. She came to prominence internationally with a gold medal double in the long jump and triple jump at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Athletics – becoming only the second athlete to achieve that feat, after her compatriot Cristine Spataru. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The most common types of athletics competitions are track and field, road running, cross country running, and racewalking. The results of racing events are decided by finishing position (or time, where measured), while the jumps and throws are won by the athlete that achieves the highest or furthest measurement from a series of attempts. The simplicity of the competitions, and the lack of a need for expensive equipment, makes athletics one of the most common types of sports in the world. Ivana Španović
Ivana Vuleta (; sr-cyr, Ивана Вулета, , ; born 10 May 1990) is a Serbian long jumper, two-time World indoor champion, three times European indoor champion and reigning European champion. In 2013, Vuleta became the first Serbian track and field athlete to win a medal at the IAAF Outdoor World Championships. In 2018, she became the first Serbian track and field athlete to win a world senior gold medal at the IAAF Indoor World Championships. She is the Serbian record holder in the long jump, indoors and outdoors, and also she is the national indoor record holder in the 60 metres and in the pentathlon. Her coach is Goran Obradović and she is a member of the Vojvodina Athletic Club, based in Novi Sad. 2015 World Championships In Athletics – Women's Long Jump
The women's long jump at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 27 and 28 August. Defending champion Brittney Reese returned but was unable to get out of the qualification round. Katarina Johnson-Thompson could have used her 6.79 automatic qualifier in her heptathlon earlier in the week, 6.79 meters further than she received credit for. In the first round of the final, Christabel Nettey took the early lead with a 6.95. Janay DeLoach Soukup pulled into second with a 6,67 while most of the field struggled to find the board. Ivana Španović then popped 7.01 for a new Serbian National Record. World #1 Tianna Bartoletta put out a 6.95 in the second round to almost pull even with Nettey. 2015 World Championships In Athletics
The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally. Host nation China, finished 11th on the medals table, while Russia finished ninth. 205 IAAF member countries and territories participated, two more than in 2013, with new IAAF member, Kosovo, making its debut. South Sudan was also set to participate for the first time, but its sole athlete did not show up in Beijing.
