Frank Turner (basketball)
Frank Rahim Turner (born May 25, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for MZT Skopje. Standing at 5 ft 11 in (1.80 m), Turner plays as point guard. Turner graduated from Atlantic City High School in 2006. Career In December 2014, Turner signed with the Romanian team U BT Cluj-Napoca. On July 14, 2016, Turner signed with ADA Blois Basket of the French LNB Pro B. On August 31, 2017, Turner signed with Crailsheim Merlins of the German second division ProA. Turner played two seasons with Crailsheim. On September 7, 2019, he has signed with Egis Körmend of the NB I/A. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. The Crailsheim Merlins, for sponsorships reasons named Hakro Merlins Crailsheim, is a professional basketball club based in Crailsheim, Germany. Established in 1986, the club plays in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), the highest professional league in Germany. The club is a part of the multi-sports club TSV Crailsheim. Home games are played in the Arena Hohenlohe, which has a capacity of 3,000 people. History The club was founded on 31 January 1986 by a group of students. The Polish Basketball Cup ( pl, Puchar Polski w koszykówce mężczyzn) is the annual top-tier level national domestic basketball cup competition for clubs in Poland. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). The Bulgarian Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition, organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation since 1951. The cup was not held in 1957, 1958, 1960 and 1961. BC CSKA Sofia is the all-time record holder with 18 titles. Format Since 2009, except from 2017-2019, the Final Eight format has been used and from 2010 only teams from the first tier participate in it.
