DBL All-Star
The Dutch Basketball League All-Star Gala was a yearly basketball event in the Netherlands, organised by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). During the event the yearly All-Star Game was played, which included the best players of a given DBL season. Additionally, a dunk Contest and three-point contest were also held at the event. Since the 2017–18 season, the event is no longer organised by the FEB. All-Star Game The All-Star Game is played by two teams featuring the best players in the Dutch Basketball League, voted by fans in the Netherlands. From 2004 till 2013, the game was played between ''the North'' and ''the South'', players from club in the north of the Netherlands play in the North team. Landstede Sportcentrum
The Landstede Sportcentrum is an indoor sports complex located in Zwolle, Netherlands, which is used as a sports arena and was opened in 2010. It is the home of basketball team Landstede Hammers. The "centre court", which is used by both the club has a capacity of 1,200 people. The complex is owned by ROC Landstede, a company that is also main sponsor of the basketball and volleyball clubs. The Sportcentrum is also used for many other sports, like artistic gymnastics and table tennis. In 2011 and 2012, the international basketball tournament Basketball Days was held in the Sportcentrum. It is nicknamed the ''Theater van de Sport'' (Theatre of Sport). John Thomas (basketball)
John Thomas (born September 8, 1975) is an American former professional basketball player. He was the captain of the Minnesota Golden Gophers team that advanced to the 1997 NCAA Semi-Final. Selected by the New York Knicks with the 25th pick in the 1997 NBA Draft although he never played a game with them as he was traded, along with Dontae' Jones, Walter McCarty and Scott Brooks to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Chris Mills and two conditional second-round draft choices on October 22, 1997. Four months later, he was again traded, this time to the Toronto Raptors, alongside Chauncey Billups, Dee Brown and Roy Rogers, for Kenny Anderson, Zan Tabak and Popeye Jones. He signed as a free agent with the Minnesota Timberwolves in October 2004, appearing in 44 games over the course of the entire season. Sergerio Gipson
Sergerio Montez "Teddy" Gipson (born February 15, 1980) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Donar of the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). Professional career Gipson started his professional career in 2003 with MyGuide Amsterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he played three seasons. He won the Dutch championship in his debut season. He signed with Paderborn Baskets of the German second division ProA for the 2006–07 season. After one season, he returned to Amsterdam to play another two seasons there. In these two seasons, Amsterdam won the Eredivisie both times. On June 1, 2008, Gipson scored 27 points in Game 7 of the Finals, as the 77–72 win over Den Bosch which delivered Amsterdam the title. Alhaji Mohammed (born October 29, 1981) is an American-born Ghanaian former basketball player. A four year college basketball player for Louisville, he started his 17-year long professional career in 2004. Career From 2008 to 2010, Mohammed played with Limoges CSP of the French LNB Pro A and was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame. Topsportcentrum Rotterdam
Topsportcentrum Rotterdam is an indoor arena located in Rotterdam next to the Feijenoord Stadion. The arena opened in 2000 and has a capacity of 2,500 seats. It holds many sports events in various sports and levels, such as international World and European Championships and Dutch National Championships. The complex exists as two sporting halls. The first is located on the first floor and is 48x28 metres, while the pitch is 40x20 metres. On the second floor another sports hall of 44x24 metres is located. Matthew Don Bauscher (born April 25, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player. Bauscher played three years for the Boise State Broncos, from 2005 till 2008, during his college career. He was the team captain at Boise State while winning the regular season and tournament championship. He earned All Conference Defense and All Conference Tournament Team. Apollohal
The Apollohal is an indoor sports hall located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Built in 1934 as a tennis hall, the complex was later designated for expositions and ice skating.
