All-DBL Team
The Dutch Basketball League (DBL) All-Star Team, also known as All-DBL Team, is a team constituted by the main players in a season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. This team is based on players' performance throughout the regular season. After the end of the season, the best players of each position are chosen. Dutch Basketball League
The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential. The league began in 1960 as the ''Eredivisie'' and was organized by the NBB and later the FEB. In 1977 the league introduced play-offs. As of 2019, the Dutch Basketball League consists of ten teams and plays under the FIBA rules. History 2010s Starting with the 2010–11 season, the Eredivisie changed its name to the Dutch Basketball League, shortly the DBL. Levi's Flamingo's Haarlem
Flamingo's Haarlem was a professional basketball team based in Haarlem, Netherlands. Flamingo's played in the Eredivisie from 1960 till 1983, excluding the 1961–62 season. The team won the Dutch championship and NBB Cup four times. The Flamingo's also played at the highest European stage many times: in the 1966–67, 1968–69, 1970–71, 1971–72 and 1973–74 season the team did at least play in the qualifying round. The team was founded in 1954 as Black Pirates by baseball players who before played for several different teams. In its first year they were the city champions of Haarlem and finished third in the national league. The games were played in the Krelagehuis, despite there being no changing rooms and showers. Heroes Den Bosch is a Dutch professional basketball club based in 's-Hertogenbosch. The club plays in the BNXT League since 2021 and in the top basketball division in the Netherlands since 1972. Canadians, formerly known as BV Landlust, was a Dutch basketball club from Amsterdam. The team was one of the original twelve teams in the Eredivisie. The team was founded in 1952 and played in the Eredivisie for 42 seasons. History Landlust was founded in 1951 and remained until 1992–93 season in the Premier League, with the exception of the 1972–73 season. The club from Amsterdam is third with 32 seasons in the league, after Den Bosch (40) and Donar (38). Landlust played until 1972 without sponsor. Joe Wallace (born Joseph Sylvester Wallace, 29 October 1890 – 1 December 1975) was a Canadian poet, journalist, and communist activist. Harry Jerome Rogers (born December 31, 1950) is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for Saint Louis, before turning professional and starting his career in the Netherlands. He attended Sumner High School in St. Louis, Missouri. Rogers was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 1991. Rogers was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the fourth round of the 1973 NBA draft. He signed with Punch of the Dutch Eredivisie in 1974 and stayed for three seasons. He averaged 23.6 points in his total of 57 games and helped Punch win the 1975 national championship.
