Zimbabwe flyafrica.com was a low cost carrier, the first from the ''flyafrica.com'' group to start operations. Flights commenced in between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, and subsequently on additional routes. However operations have been suspended since October 2015, on removal of the airline's operating licence, reportedly following shareholder disputes and failure to meet statutory requirements. History Test flights were conducted in in order to meet South African Civil Aviation Authority and Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) requirements. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport is an airport located outside Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Overview Originally known as Bulawayo International Airport, it was renamed in honour of the late Dr Joshua Nkomo, the leader and founder of the Zimbabwe African People's Union in 2001. Dr Nkomo also served as a Vice President of the Zimbabwe Government. It is another of Zimbabwe's international airports. Bulawayo
Bulawayo (, ; Ndebele: ''Bulawayo'') is the second largest city in Zimbabwe, and the largest city in the country's Matabeleland region. The city's population is disputed; the 2022 census listed it at 665,940, while the Bulawayo City Council claimed it to be about 1.2 million.
