Fashion In Milan
The Italian city of Milan is recognised internationally as one of the world's most important fashion capitals, along with Paris, New York and London. Milan has established some history within the fields of clothing and luxury, textiles and design in general. Throughout the late 19th century, Milan, as the capital of Lombardy, was a major production centre, benefitting from its status as one of the country's salient economic and industrial city. ''Milanese'' fashion, despite taking inspiration from the leading Parisian ''couture'' of the time, developed its own approach, which was by nature devoted to sobriety, simplicity and the quality of the fabric. Throughout the 19th and 20th century, the city expanded its role as a fashion centre, with a number of rising designers contributing to Milan's image as Italy's fashion capital, stemming from Italy's ruins "that English gentlemen flok to admire ("''Gran Tour'' of Italy", french for ''big trip'')" and to enjoy its opera. Milan emerg ...

Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta () is an Italian luxury fashion house based in Milan, Italy. Its product lines include ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, and jewelry; and it licenses its name and branding to Coty, Inc. for fragrances. History Founding to 1990s Bottega Veneta was established in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. Crafting artisanal leather goods, the brand developed a distinctive leather weaving design, the ''Intrecciato'', which instantly became Bottega Veneta's iconic look. "''When your own initials are enough''" became the brand's historic slogan because the crafted ''Intrecciato'' made Bottega Veneta's products immediately recognizable, and its logo only appeared discreetly on the inside of its products. In 1972, Bottega Veneta opened its first store in the USA, in New York City. In the mid-1970s, the company started to make shoes. Renzo Zengiaro left the company at the end of the 1970s. Ready-to-wear
Ready-to-wear (or ''prêt-à-porter''; abbreviated RTW; "off-the-rack" or "off-the-peg" in casual use) is the term for ready-made garments, sold in finished condition in standardized sizes, as distinct from made-to-measure or bespoke clothing tailored to a particular person's frame. In other words, It is a piece of clothing that was mass produced in different sizes and sold that way instead of it being designed and sewn for one person. The term ''off-the-peg'' is sometimes used for items other than clothing, such as handbags. Ready-to-wear has a rather different place in the spheres of fashion and classic clothing. In the fashion industry, designers produce ready-to-wear clothing, intended to be worn without significant alteration because clothing made to standard sizes fits most people. They use standard patterns, factory equipment, and faster construction techniques to keep costs low, compared to a custom-sewn version of the same item. Some fashion houses and fashion designer ...

Haute Couture
''Haute couture'' (; ; French for 'high sewing', 'high dressmaking') is the creation of exclusive custom-fitted high-end fashion design that is constructed by hand from start-to-finish. Beginning in the mid-nineteenth century, Paris became the centre of a growing industry that focused on making outfits from high-quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable of sewers—often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. ''Couture'' translates literally from French as "dressmaking", sewing, or needlework and is also used as a common abbreviation of ''haute couture'' and can often refer to the same thing in spirit. ''Haute'' translates literally to "high". An haute couture garment is always made for an individual client, tailored specifically for the wearer's measurements and body stance. Considering the amount of time, money, and skill allotted to each completed piece, haute couture garment ...

Fashion Magazine
Fashion journalism is a component of fashion media, with a focus on writing and photojournalism. Fashion journalists write about fashion events, trends and have to cultivate and maintain a relationship with stylists and designers. A fashion journalist has knowledge of fashion history, and stays up to date on industry trends, as they report on what is happening in the fashion industry and what is trending. Fashion journalists are either employed full-time by a publication, or they submit articles on a freelance basis. History Fashion journalism developed during the 18th century, when the fashion dolls was replaced by the fashion magazines, notably the ''Cabinet des Modes'', which is recognized to be the first true fashion magazine. It was followed abroad by ''Journal des Luxus und der Moden'' (1786-1827) in Germany, '' Giornale delle Dame e delle Mode di Francia'' (1786-1794) in Milan, and Gallery of Fashion (1794-1803) in Britain. During the 19th century, numerous fashion maga ...
