Faris Arapović
Faris Arapović (1970 – 18 September 2019) was a Bosnian drummer. He was widely known as a drummer of Sarajevo-based rock bands Zabranjeno Pušenje and Sikter. Also, he was a founder of Sikter. Career Arapović joined a Sarajevo-based rock band Zabranjeno Pušenje in 1986, after their drummer Predrag Rakić left. As a drummer, he performed on their two studio albums: ''Pozdrav iz zemlje Safari'' (1987) and ''Male priče o velikoj ljubavi'' (1989). In early 1990, he left the band with some other members. In 1990, Arapović founded Sarajevo-based alternative rock band Sikter. Arapović performed on their first two studio albums: ''Now, Always, Never'' (2000) and '' Queen of the Disco'' (2002). In 2003, he parted ways with the band. Arapović died on 18 September 2019. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Queen Of The Disco
''Queen of the Disco'' is the second studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 1 March 2002 by Bock. The album was exclusively released for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia. It was recorded in 2001 in Sarajevo after the great success of the band's debut album, ''Now, Always, Never''. Producers of album were the front-man of the band, Enes Zlatar, and the chairman of the Bock label, Oliver Dujmović. On this album the prevailing musical style is Disco with elements of soul, funk and reggae. Theme of the album "Queen Of The Disco" can be said to be a conceptual album. Every song on the album has an intro, or a skit, which on the CD is one track of its own preceding every song. The intros are from 4 to 27 seconds long and are all spoken-word. Now, Always, Never
Sikter was a Bosnian alternative rock band from Sarajevo. The band was formed in 1990 as a punk rock project of a few students, but became one of the most successful Bosnian rock bands. The name of the band is translated as ''Buzz Off''! From 1990 onwards, they changed lineups many times, as well as musical styles. Their first songs were parodies of Yugoslavian pop songs. Sikter became the first band from Bosnia and Herzegovina whose video "Pain in Brain" was broadcast on MTV for several months. They recorded four albums: '' Now, Always, Never'' in 2000, '' Queen of the Disco'' in 2002, '' My Music'' in 2005 and '' Ego Trip'' in 2009.
