FEVE 3500 Series
The FEVE 3500 series is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Renfe Feve in Spain. The first units entered service in the Basque Country in 1977, these trains were later transferred to Euskotren, where they were known as the Euskotren 3500 series. Euskotren retired its last 3500 trains in 2013, but some units are still in service in Asturias. History A total of 30 trains were ordered FEVE in 1977, half of them intended for use in the Basque Country, while the other half would be assigned to Asturias and Cantabria. Renfe Feve is a division of state-owned Spanish railway company Renfe Operadora. It operates most of Spain's of railway. Euskotren 900 Series
The Euskotren 900 series is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Euskotren in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, Spain. History In January 2009, Euskotren awarded Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles, CAF the construction of 27 3-car EMUs for 129 million euros, excluding VAT. The contract was later extended to 30 4-car EMUs for 201 million euros. The first trainset was delivered on 16 March 2011 in Durango, Biscay, Durango. Five days later, on March 21, it made its first test trip on the San Sebastián Metro, Topo line. The series entered service on that same line (Euskotren Trena, Euskotren's busiest) on July 22. San Sebastián Metro
Euskotren operates frequent commuter rail services in the city of San Sebastián and the surrounding Donostialdea area, in the Basque Country, Spain. Euskotren 300 Series
The Euskotren 300 series is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Euskotren in the Basque Country, Spain from 1990 to 2018. History The 12 trains were delivered to Euskotren in 1990. They were built by CAF, with the exception of the non-driving cars of the 308 to 312 units, which were built by Babcock & Wilcox. They substituted the 3500 series trains on the Topo line. Due to the number of tunnels on that line, the trains were equipped with an emergency exit on the front. Three of the trains (310, 311 and 312) were used on ''Euskopullman'' services. The ''Euskopullman'' was a limited express service that run from Bilbao to Hendaye from 1998 to 1999. The trains operating it had less seats, and they were fitted with tables and a bar.
