FC Telavi ''(Georgian:'' საფეხბურთო კლუბი თელავი) is a Georgian professional football club based in the city of Telavi, Kakheti. The team competes in Erovnuli Liga, the first tier of the national league system. While the municipal stadium named after Givi Chokheli awaits a thorough reconstruction, Telavi have played their home matches at Kavkasioni Arena since their promotion to Erovnuli Liga. They have been a member of the top flight since 2020. History First steps The football club was founded in 2016 by former football players Irakli Vashakidze, Soso Grishikashvili and Aleksandre Amisulashvili. Telavi successfully completed their first season in Regionuli Liga in 2016 and earned a place in III division. Erovnuli Liga 2
The Georgian Erovnuli Liga 2 ( ka, ეროვნული ლიგა 2; ), organized since 1990 by GFF, serves as the second division of professional football in Georgia. Under the current name the league was introduced for the 2017 season as a part of reorganization process of the entire league system. It was formerly known as Pirveli liga (the First league). Structure There are ten clubs competing in Erovnuli Liga 2. During the season each club plays against its rival four times, twice at home and twice away. At the end of each season the winner gains automatic promotion and the bottom club is relegated. 2018 Georgian Cup
The 2018 Georgian Cup was a single elimination association football tournament which began on 16 April 2018 and ended on 25 November 2018. Chikhura Sachkhere were the defending champions of the tournament after winning the previous season's cup 4–3 in a penalty shootout over Torpedo Kutaisi. Format For the 2018 version of the Georgian Cup, the competition was contested between 78 clubs. Giorgi Nikabadze
Giorgi Nikabadze ( ka, გიორგი ნიქაბაძე; born 10 January 1991) is a Georgian footballer who plays as a forward for Uzbekistan Super League club Novbahor. He won the Georgian Erovnuli Liga with Dinamo Batumi in 2021. Also, he has become the topscorer of Liga 2 as well as most prolific striker for several teams. Career Nikabadze has played in four countries. A Lyga side Banga was the first club where he spent a full season. In 2018, he netted ten goals for newly promoted Liga 2 club Telavi. A year later, while at Merani Tbilisi, Nikabadze became a league topscorer and major contributor to his team's promotion to Erovnuli Liga. The next summer, he moved to title-chasing Dinamo Batumi. 2017 Liga 3 (Georgia)
Тhe 2017 Liga 3 (formerly Meore Liga) was the first season under its current name and 30th third-tier season in Georgia. It began on 19 March and ended on 24 November.
