FC Sairme Bagdati
FC Sairme Bagdati is a Georgian football club based in the town of Baghdati. They compete in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of Georgian football. Their home ground is Bagdati's Central Stadium with the capacity of 3,000. History Sairme initially starting taking part in second tier of the Georgian Soviet league. In mid-2010s the club twice in a row came 3rd in Meore Liga, followed by the second place taken in 2016. Sairme under the management of Davit Machitidze finished one point short of a group winner and according to the existing league regulations, dropped down to Regionuli Liga along with all the remaining teams. With new coach Jaba Akhaladze in the new league, Sairme ended up in mid-table. Soon financial difficulties worsened their performance. In 2020, Sairme played the last season before their formal withdrawal. Baghdati
Baghdati ( ka, ბაღდათი, tr) is a town of 3,700 people in the Imereti region of western Georgia, at the edge of the Ajameti forest on the river Khanistsqali, a tributary of the Rioni. Geography The town is located at the edge of the Ajameti forest on the left bank of the river Khanistsqali, about west-northwest of Tbilisi and south-southeast of Kutaisi. The climate of Baghdati can be classified as moderately humid subtropical (Köppen climate classification ''Cfa''). History Baghdati is one of the oldest villages in the historical Imereti region. Its name shares the same origins as the name of the capital of Iraq, Baghdād: ''Bagh'' 'god' and ''dāti'' 'given', which can be translated as "God-given" or "God's gift" in the Pahlavi language. Regionuli Liga
Regionuli Liga (Georgian: რეგიონული ლიგა), run by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the fifth and lowest division of the Georgian league system after Erovnuli Liga, Erovnuli Liga 2, Liga 3 and Liga 4. Its participants are both professional clubs and reserve teams of higher league members. Prior to the introduction of Liga 4 in 2019, Regionuli Liga was the fifth tier. Structure As the name implies, the league is based on regional principle. Depending on the number of participating clubs, it is divided into several groups. In 2017, there were forty teams allocated in three groups. The next year two zones were created for teams based in Western Georgia and two more for the eastern regions. Meore Liga
Liga 3, organized by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Until 2017, when the current name was introduced, it was known as Meore Liga (the Second league). Structure and league system There were 20 teams competing in the league in 2017. In 2019, when Liga 4 was formed, their number was reduced to ten, although after two seasons GFF decided to extend the league to 14 at the expense of two bottom teams from the previous season and two second-placed clubs from Liga 4 While and Red Groups. The 2018 Georgian Cup was a single elimination association football tournament which began on 16 April 2018 and ended on 25 November 2018. Chikhura Sachkhere were the defending champions of the tournament after winning the previous season's cup 4–3 in a penalty shootout over Torpedo Kutaisi.
