F-Zero
is a series of racing games published by Nintendo, developed by Nintendo EAD and other third-party companies. The first game was released for the Super Famicom in Japan in 1990. Its success prompted Nintendo to create sequels on subsequent consoles. The series is known for its high-speed, futuristic racing, characters and settings, difficult gameplay, and original music, as well as for pushing technological limits to be one of the fastest racing games. The original game inspired games such as '' Daytona USA'' and the ''Wipeout'' series. It was released in Japan on November 21, 1990, in North America in August 1991, and in Europe in 1992. is a 2023 online multiplayer Racing game, racing video game developed by Nintendo Software Technology and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It was released as a free downloadable games for members of the Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) service. It is the first ''F-Zero'' game since F-Zero Climax, ''Climax''s 2004 release, and the fourth ''99''-style NSO Battle royale game, battle-royale game. F-Zero Climax
is a racing video game developed by Suzak Inc. and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld console. The game was released in Japan on October 21, 2004, and marked the final ''F-Zero'' installment for 19 years until the 2023 release of ''F-Zero 99''. Players race in vehicles on numerous courses while navigating past obstacles. While the game is a 2D racer, its Mode 7-styled graphical effect allows the track to be scaled and rotated around the vehicle to simulate a 3D environment. Takaya Imamura
is a Japanese video game designer, manga artist and educator. From 1989 to 2021, Imamura worked at Nintendo, where he designed the characters and story of ''F-Zero'', including Captain Falcon, and most of the supporting characters from the ''Star Fox'' series of video games.
