The Extra (1962 Film)
''The Extra'' (Spanish: ''El extra'') is a 1962 Mexican comedy film directed by Miguel M. Delgado and starring Cantinflas and Alma Delia Fuentes. In the film, Cantinflas plays a man who works as an Extra (acting), extra through several films. This was the last Cantinflas film whose art direction was made by long-time set designer Gunther Gerzso. Plot Rogaciano (Cantinflas) is the modest worker of a Mexican film studio, who performs several roles as an Extra (acting), extra in the films shot there. His excessive zeal at work causes the antipathy of successive directors who do not support his forays into their films. After his run-ins into film sets, he dreams that he is the protagonist of each of the productions of which he has participated, such as him playing a ''Sans-culottes, sans-culotte'' and saving Marie Antoinette in a film about the French Revolution, being the lover of Marguerite Gautier in a retelling of ''La Dame aux Camélias'' in which she survives, and saving a maiden ...

XEWW-AM
XEWW-AM (690 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to the Tijuana/Rosarito area of Baja California, Mexico. Its studios and offices are located in Burbank, California, United States and it is leased by H&H USA. Transmitter XEWW is a high-powered Class A station, with its 77,000-watt daytime signal sometimes reaching as far as the middle of the San Joaquin Valley. It covers nearly all of Southern California and most of Baja California. XEWW operates with 50,000 watts at night as is required by the "Rio Treaty." This same treaty would normally allow XEWW to operate with a daytime signal of 100,000 watts. However, 77,000 watts was apparently selected as this power sends the equivalent of the station's former 50,000-watt daytime signal (from its original Tijuana site, since demolished) towards Los Angeles without also increasing its prohibited overlap with KIRN (670 AM) in Simi Valley and KSPN (710 AM) in Los Angeles (from its present Rosarito site). At night it uses a ...

Extra (cricket)
In cricket, an extra (sometimes called a sundry) is a run scored by, or awarded to, a batting team which is not credited to any individual batsman. They are the runs scored by methods other than striking the ball with the bat. The extras are tallied separately on the scorecard and count only towards the team's score. Giving away many extras is often considered as untidy bowling. There are five types of extra: no-ball (nb), wide (w or wd), bye (b), leg bye (lb), and penalty run (pen). Types of extras Illegal deliveries These are extras that are awarded because the bowler or fielders have violated certain rules in how they deliver the ball to the batsman (i.e. they are not bowling from far away enough, or the ball is out of the batsman's reach), or where they are positioned in the field. Most methods of dismissal can not occur on an illegal delivery. Illegal deliveries do not count towards the completion of the over they occur in, and thus in limited overs cricket, ille ...

Yahoo!Xtra
Yahoo!Xtra was a New Zealand web portal that existed under that name from 2007 to 2011. It was a joint venture between Yahoo!7 and Telecom New Zealand (now Spark). Yahoo!7 held a 51 percent stake in the company and Telecom NZ held 49 percent. Because Yahoo!7 is a 50/50 venture, Yahoo! proper was therefore a 25.5% owner of Yahoo!Xtra. XtraMSN Telecom launched Internet service provider Xtra in 1996, which was New Zealand's largest ISP (). In 2001 Telecom partnered with MSN to create the web portal XtraMSN, which by 2006 was receiving over 100 million total page impressions per month. Visitor numbers to XtraMSN grew by 45 percent in its last two years and the website attracted more than 3 million unique browsers per month. Move to Yahoo In December 2006, Telecom made a new agreement, founding a joint venture with Australia's Yahoo!7 – itself a joint compa ...

Xtra was a brand used by New Zealand telecommunications provider Spark New Zealand, Spark (previously Telecom) for its Internet service provider subsidiary from 1996 to 2008. At its inception, Xtra provided only dial-up Internet access, but began providing asymmetric digital subscriber line, ADSL service in 1999. The brand was largely retired in 2008, with internet services adopting the name of Xtra's parent company Telecom (now Spark). Today, the Xtra brand remains active only as the name of Spark's webmail service, powered by New Zealand-based SMX. The Xtra name was also used for Yahoo!Xtra, a joint venture web portal between Telecom and Yahoo!7 that operated between 2007 and 2011, as well as XtraMSN (a joint venture with MSN). History and trading practices In 1999 Telecom created New Zealand's only ADSL service. Telecom later allowed other ISPs to access its ADSL networks (under increasing government and public pressure), although some claimed that Telecom provided unfair and ...

Pibb Xtra
Pibb Xtra is a reformulation of Mr. Pibb (sometimes styled as Mr. PiBB), a soft drink created and marketed by The Coca-Cola Company. It has several variants. As of 2020, it is sold in bottles, cans, and two-liter bottles, and is available in most Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. It has a subtle cherry undertone. History First introduced as "Peppo" to compete against Dr Pepper, the name was changed to "Mr. Pibb" after Dr Pepper sued The Coca-Cola Company for trademark infringement. The original test markets for Mr. Pibb in 1972 were located in Waco, Texas, the birthplace of Dr Pepper, before the company moved to Dallas, Texas. In 1980, Mr. Pibb was reformulated and marketed with the words "New Taste" printed prominently on the products. In 2001, a cinnamon-forward "spicy cherry" flavor replaced the original formula in many parts of the United States, marketed as a bolder version of original Mr. Pibb. As recently as 2020, Pibb Xtra has been marketed as a "refreshing, spicy cherry al ...
