Evert Taube
Axel Evert Taube (; 12 March 1890 – 31 January 1976) was a Swedish author, artist, composer and singer. Gaucho
A gaucho () or gaúcho () is a skilled horseman, reputed to be brave and unruly. The figure of the gaucho is a folk symbol of Argentina, Uruguay, Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, and the south of Chilean Patagonia. Gauchos became greatly admired and renowned in legend, folklore, and literature and became an important part of their regional cultural tradition. Astrid "Astri" Linnéa Matilda Taube, née ''Bergman'' (9 December 1898 – 23 December 1980) was a Swedish sculptor and artist known for her child portraits and sculptures in public venues. She was married to Swedish singer and songwriter Evert Taube. Biography Taube was born in Stockholm, Sweden to Per Herman Bergman and Mélen Tholff. She learned sculpture from her father and from noted Swedish sculptor Carl Milles. In 1925, she married Evert Taube. Evert met her when she was nine years old. Inga-Britt Margareta Fredholm (née Pütter; 25 April 1923 – 28 March 2014) was a Swedish secretary, archivist and author. The Apple War
''The Apple War'' ( sv, Äppelkriget) is a 1971 Swedish comedy-drama film directed by Tage Danielsson, starring Gösta Ekman, Hans Alfredsson, Tage Danielsson, Monica Zetterlund and Max von Sydow. The political theme of the film is the battle between nature on the one hand and commercialisation and industrialisation on the other set to exploit and ultimately destroy land and natural resources. The film can also be seen as an early criticism of globalisation as it depicts foreign, and large scale, capitalist investors and entrepreneurs as exploiters working side by side with domestic, small scale, capitalists. Hasse & Tage ( sv, Hasse och Tage) were a popular Swedish comedy duo featuring Hans "Hasse" Alfredson and Tage Danielsson. They are sometimes known as ''Hasseåtage'', a spelling created by the Swedish press in the 1960s, but never used by the duo themselves. Änglamark is a Swedish song composed and written by Evert Taube for the movie The Apple War (Äppelkriget) in 1971. The song is sung in the movie's opening and ending credits by the composer's son, Sven-Bertil Taube. Instrumental variations of the song are used as a leitmotif throughout the movie. The original recording by Sven-Bertil Taube was on the Svensktoppen "Top 10" for 16 weeks in 1972. In 2021, the song charted at number 18 on Sverigetopplistan's Heatseeker chart.
