Eugenio Chacarra
Eugenio López-Chacarra (born 22 March 2000) is a Spanish professional golfer. Early life Chacarra was born in Madrid, Spain. His sister, Carolina, also plays college golf in the United States, at Wake Forest University. Amateur career Chacarra attended Oklahoma State University, where he studied Sports Management, Finance and Psychology. He was a first team All-American and reached a high of number two in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, before turning professional and joining LIV Golf in June 2022, reportedly on a three-year contract. Two months before then, he had announced that he would be returning for a fifth year at Oklahoma State, despite qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour through the PGA Tour University rankings. 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series
The 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series was the first season of the LIV Golf Invitational Series. The season consisted of seven 54-hole tournaments, featuring 48 players and no cut, and a team championship event at the season end. Development On 17 March 2022, the first eight tournament schedule with prize money of $255 million was announced by Greg Norman. The 54-hole tournaments will have no cut and will feature 48 players drafted into 12 four-man teams, with shotgun starts. 2021 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2021 European Amateur Team Championship took place 6–10 July at PGA Catalunya in Spain. It was the 38th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. The event was originally intended to be played at Vasatorp Golf Club in Sweden but was moved because of travel restriction concerns. Format Each team consisted of six players. On the first two days each player played 18 holes of stroke play each day. The lowest five scores from each team’s six players counted to the team total each day. The eight best teams formed flight A, in knock-out match-play over the following three days. The teams were seeded based on their positions after the stroke play. The 2019 European Amateur Team Championship took place 9–13 July at Ljunghusen Golf Club in Höllviken, Sweden. It was the 36th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The hosting club was founded in 1932 and by 1965 it was the first golf club in Scandinavia to feature 27 holes, one of three clubs with links courses at the south west tip of Sweden, in Vellinge Municipality, Scania County. 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup
The 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup was a team golf competition held from June 11–13, 2021 at Rich Harvest Farms, Sugar Grove, Illinois. It was the 25th time the event had been contested and the fourth under the new format in which women golfers played in addition to men, and the United States played an international team. The United States team won the match 33–27. Format The contest was played over three days. On Friday, there were 12 mixed four-ball matches. On Saturday there were 24 foursomes matches, 12 in the morning, six all-women matches and six all-men matches, and 12 mixed matches in the afternoon. 24 singles matches were played on Sunday. Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. The European Boys' Team Championship (Jean-Louis Dupont Trophy) is a European amateur team golf championship for men up to 18 organized by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1980 and it has been played annually since.
