It was recorded on May 15, 1993 at "Stadium", a venue in Buenos Aires. A video version of the album ( VHS) was also commercialized. Hermética
Hermética was an Argentine thrash metal band from San Martín, Buenos Aires. It was formed by bassist Ricardo Iorio in 1987 after his previous band, V8, disbanded. Hermética was signed to the independent record label Radio Trípoli Discos throughout their career. The band's initial lineup consisted of Iorio, vocalist Claudio O'Connor, drummer Fabián Spataro and guitarist Antonio Romano. Spataro left the band in 1988 and was replaced by Antonio Scotto. This lineup recorded their eponymous album, the first thrash metal album recorded in Argentina. At this point of their career, Hermética performed mainly in Argentina, except for one concert held in Uruguay. In 1990, they released ''Intérpretes''an extended play which included covers of Argentine rock and tango songs. Alberto Zamarbide
Alberto Zamarbide (born 23 August 1960) is an Argentine heavy metal singer known for his work with bands like V8 and Logos. Biography Early years Alberto Zamarbide began his career as a vocalist in the band WC, with July Morano as guitarist and songwriter of the group. This line up also had Gustavo Rowek on drums. After a year of work and some shows in Buenos Aires, he organized together with Ricardo Iorio what would be the first heavy metal festival held in Argentina in March 1981, at the headquarters of Athletic Club Argentinos Juniors in the neighborhood of the cemetery, Buenos Aires. Zamarbide soon leaves the group and goes to Brazil for a while. V8 On his return, he found Ricardo Iorio, who invited him to sing in V8. Claudio Strunz (born November 11, 1966) is an Argentine thrash metal drummer. He has worked in Heinkel, Hermética, Malón (band), Malón and Simbiosis. Biography Claudio Strunz, born in La Tablada, began his career in Heinkel, a band that would be renamed Jeriko. The band's rehearsal room was located in the Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Belgrano neighbourhood, which was very distant, so he created a new one at his home. El Reloj hired this rehearsal room as well. He created later a new one in Mataderos, which was hired by the thrash metal band Hermética. He played with that band during tests when the drummer Tony Scotto was absent. As a result, when Scotto left the band Strunz was selected as the new drummer. He joined the band in 1991, just in time for the recording of the LP ''Ácido Argentino'', and stayed with the band since then. Claudio Alberto Castro, also known as Claudio O'Connor (born April 28, 1963 in Llavallol, Buenos Aires Province) is a thrash metal, groove metal and hard rock vocalist from Argentina. Nowadays he's lead singer of his own band O'Connor and Malón. He was also formerly the lead singer of Hermética. Biography Mark I Claudio O'Connor started in the music in 1984. He was recommended by Walter Almada, ''Horse Power'' bassist. When O'Connor joins the band as vocalist, it's renamed to Mark I. The band performed over 30 shows until its dissolution in 1987. They recorded two demos, one with two tracks ("Una Farsa Más" and "Traidor") and other with 4 ("El traidor", "(Esto es) Mark", "Tierra marginal" y "Las tablas de la ley"). Gustavo Rowek
Gustavo Nestor Rowek (born 19 March 1963) is an Argentine heavy metal drummer known for being one of the founders of heavy metal movement in Argentina through its participation in Surmenage, WC, V8 and Rata Blanca. Currently he works in his own project Rowek. Career Early years, V8 and Rata Blanca Rowek began playing at age 16, after a friend taught him some basic principles. His first band was called Sourmenage, but later he left this to join WC. The band performed in various places, including a festival by the heavy metal band V8, a group with which they became friends. Gustavo finished part of the formation of V8. Rowek split with V8 in 1985 and in Brazil began with Osvaldo Civile to shape what would become Horcas. On his return from Brazil, Rowek agreed to help Walter Giardino recording a demo of some songs. Osvaldo Civile
Osvaldo Daniel Civile (21 October 1958 – 28 April 1999) was an Argentine heavy metal guitarist. He was the guitarist for the bands V8 and Horcas. Biography Civile was born in Caseros, Buenos Aires, and began his music career in the band Té de brujas. The guitarist of V8, Ricardo Moreno, left the band in 1982 for health reasons and proposed Civile as his replacement. The drummer Alejandro Colantonio left the band as well, and was replaced by Gustavo Rowek. The lineup of Civile, Rowek, Ricardo Iorio and Alberto Zamarbide is the most famous one of the band. Ricardo Iorio (born 25 June 1962) is an Argentine heavy metal singer and bassist who participated in various of the most important metal bands of the nation. He was one of the founders of V8 (1979–1987) and later founded the successful band Hermética (1988–1994). He has been the singer and main composer of Almafuerte since 1995. His songs are realistic urban stories dealing with the life of lower classes, as well as Argentine 'metalheads'. Even though he played the bass with every band he integrated, he has recently chosen Beto Ceriotti to be the new bassist of Almafuerte, remaining as the singer and main composer of the band (mostly lyrics). Extremely nationalist, Iorio continuously proclaims in his songs and in the media the pride in being Argentine and Argentine history, and mixes native music styles like tango, Indian and gaucho culture with the heavy metal base of Almafuerte. Antonio Romano (musician)
Antonio Romano (born August 6, 1962) is an Argentine thrash metal guitarist. He has worked in Cerbero, Hermética, Malón, Visceral and Razones Concientes. Biography Born in Caseros, Buenos Aires, son of Italian immigrants, Romano became a heavy metal musician after hearing an LP of Black Sabbath. He began his work in the 1980s, in a black metal band named "Cerbero". The band did not record any LP. He was considered a possible guitarist for V8 when Osvaldo Civile left that band, but he was not selected. Still, when V8's bassist Ricardo Iorio broke up the band in 1989, he hired Romano for his new band, Hermética, along with singer Claudio O'Connor and drummer Fabián Spataro. Romano composed the music of several songs of the new band. Hermética recorded three studio albums, and received a golden record for the sales of ''Ácido Argentino'' and '' Víctimas del Vaciamiento''.
