Alberto Zamarbide
Alberto Zamarbide (born 23 August 1960) is an Argentine heavy metal singer known for his work with bands like V8 and Logos. Biography Early years Alberto Zamarbide began his career as a vocalist in the band WC, with July Morano as guitarist and songwriter of the group. This line up also had Gustavo Rowek on drums. After a year of work and some shows in Buenos Aires, he organized together with Ricardo Iorio what would be the first heavy metal festival held in Argentina in March 1981, at the headquarters of Athletic Club Argentinos Juniors in the neighborhood of the cemetery, Buenos Aires. Zamarbide soon leaves the group and goes to Brazil for a while. V8 On his return, he found Ricardo Iorio, who invited him to sing in V8. V8 was an Argentine heavy metal band formed in 1979, one of the first notable Argentine and Latin America bands of that genre. After its dissolution former members have continued their careers starting other heavy metal bands, Hermética, Horcas, Rata Blanca, Logos and Almafuerte. History In the beginning of the 80s, bass player Ricardo Iorio got together some other metal fans and they called themselves V8, whose early influences were Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Motörhead, Budgie, the Sex Pistols and Black Sabbath. Jorge Iacobellis (born August 12, 1956) is an Argentine drummer, tour promoter and producer primarily known as the drummer of the thrash metal band Hirax and former drummer of Todos Tus Muertos. He promoted and produced international bands on tour such as Kreator, Sick of It All, Viper, Ratos de Porão and Testament and assisted in the tour productions with Kiss, Iron Maiden, Machine Head, Jerry Lee Lewis, Motörhead, Exodus, Sepultura, Ramones, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Slayer and L.A. The Hydrogen Intensity and Real-time Analysis eXperiment (HIRAX) is an interferometric array of 1024 6-meter (20 ft) diameter radio telescopes, operating at 400-800MHz, that will be deployed at the Square Kilometer Array site in the Karoo region of South Africa. Glenn Rogers (musician)
Glenn Rogers is an American guitarist who performs mainly thrash metal. He has most notably performed with Hirax, Deliverance, Vengeance Rising and Once Dead. History Glenn Rogers started his career in 1986, with his first band Blind Decree, later known as Dissenter, with his friend Brett Eriksen. He later joined the band Vengeance Rising and wrote music that would eventually end up on ''Human Sacrifice''. He left the band and joined a project with former Holy Soldier vocalist Robbie Brauns named H.E.R.O. He joined Deliverance soon after joining H.E.R.O. Rogers stated his first show with the band went so well, he left H.E.R.O. and recorded the demo ''Greetings of Death'' with the band. Viking is an American thrash metal band in Los Angeles, California, which had existed for four years, between 1986 and 1990. However, they reformed in 2011. To date, Viking has released three studio albums, '' Do or Die'' (1988), '' Man of Straw'' (1989) and ''No Child Left Behind'' (2015). Vengeance Rising
Vengeance Rising was an American Christian metal, Christian thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California. Fronted by vocalist Roger Martinez, they originally formed as Vengeance in 1987, but changed their name in 1989 to avoid conflict with another band from the Netherlands. Band members Larry Farkas, Doug Thieme, Roger Dale Martin, and Glen Mancaruso left following ''Once Dead'' and formed the band Die Happy (band), Die Happy. Roger Martinez stayed on to record two more studio albums, but aside from him, Vengeance Rising's lineup changed for each subsequent album. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband.
