Emanuele Crestini
Emanuele Crestini (24 June 1972 – 20 June 2019) was an Italian politician, who served as the mayor of the municipality of Rocca di Papa from 2016 until his death in 2019. Biography Having graduated in Political Science at the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta in Rome in 2013, Crestini began his political career in 2011, being elected municipal councilor of Rocca di Papa. After graduating, he worked as a merchant. In 2016, Crestini is a candidate for mayor of Rocca di Papa at the head of a coalition of civic lists, later elected to the ballot (the first in the history of the municipality), defeating the candidate of the Democratic Party. In 2018, following the docking of the Diciotti ship at the port of Catania with 177 migrants on board, the municipality of Rocca di Papa welcomed a group of migrants into the reception center Mondo Migliore. Rocca di Papa (Roman Castles Romanesco: ) is a small town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Rome, Lazio, Italy. It is one of the Castelli Romani about southeast of Rome on the Alban Hills. It is close to the other communes of Velletri, Rocca Priora, Monte Compatri, Grottaferrata, Albano and Marino. It is the center of the Regional Park known as the "Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani". History The city is built on the location of the latine city of ''Cabum''. Documents from 12th century name Rocca di Papa as ''Castrum Rocce de Papa'' ("Rock of the Pope Castle"), because Pope Eugene III lived there. Sant'Eugenio Hospital is a hospital located in Rome, Italy. It is one of the largest hospitals in Central Italy. The construction of the hospital began in 1933, during the fascist period. The original project, curated by Gaspare Lenzi, Luigi Lenzi and Dagoberto Ortensi, was inspired by Castel del Monte but planned to develop the building of a plant instead of pentagonal and octagonal erecting five towers at the corners of the rationalist building.
