Ellen Marie Forland
Ellen Marie Forland (21 August 1926 – 22 January 2010) was a Norwegian businessperson. She hailed from Storebø, took her secondary education in Bergen and studied chemistry in Copenhagen. She married Mikkel Forland in 1953, and they cooperated in the business world until 1973, when her husband decided to be a ship broker Shipbroking is a financial service, which forms part of the global shipping industry. Storebø
Storebø is the administrative centre and largest village in Austevoll municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern part of the island of Huftarøy, just south of the village of Birkeland and northwest of the village of Haukanes. The village has a population (2019) of 1,588 and a population density of . King's Medal Of Merit
The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements.
