Edward Boateng (footballer)
Ambassador Edward Boateng is a Ghanaian diplomat, business executive, politician, and member of the New Patriotic Party. As a diplomat, Edward has impacted government policies in Ghana and in recent times bilateral relations between Ghana and China. He is currently the Director-General of Ghana's State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) succeeding Stephen Asamoah Boateng. SIGA is an institution established by an Act of Parliament, Act 990, to ensure efficiency and profitability in state-owned enterprises while promoting good corporate governance. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ( ; born 29 March 1944) is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the president of Ghana since 7 January 2017. 2020 Ghanaian general election, In 2020, he was re-elected for his second term, which will end on 6 January 2025. Akufo-Addo previously served as Attorney General of Ghana, Attorney General from 2001 to 2003 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs (Ghana), Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007 under the John Kufuor, Kufuor-led administration. Stephen Asamoah Boateng (born August 18, 1958) is a Ghanaian politician and a former member of parliament for the Mfantsiman West constituency of the Central region of Ghana. He is a former Minister for Local Government Rural Development and Environment, Tourism and Diaspora Relations. Boateng is also a former minister of information and National Orientation as well as a former chief executive officer of the State Enterprise committee.
