EDU European Darts Championship
The EDU European Darts Championship is an electronic soft-tip darts tournament held at various locations in Europe. First edition of this tournament took place in 1996 at the Brig venue in Switzerland ). Swiss law does not designate a ''capital'' as such, but the federal parliament and government are installed in Bern, while other federal institutions, such as the federal courts, are in other cities (Bellinzona, Lausanne, Luzern, Neuchâtel .... Championship tournaments are organized together with many other open-level tournaments in one week. The most successful player at this tournament is Boris Krčmar from Croatia. Sopron
Sopron (; german: Ödenburg, ; sl, Šopron) is a city in Hungary on the Austrian border, near Lake Neusiedl/Lake Fertő. History Ancient times-13th century When the area that is today Western Hungary was a province of the Roman Empire, a city called ''Scarbantia'' stood here. Its forum was located where the main square of Sopron can be found today. During the Migration Period, Scarbantia was believed to be deserted. Kurt Van De Rijck
Kurt van de Rijck (born 28 November 1972 in Mechelen) is an former professional Belgian darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Van de Rijck reached the semi-finals of a PDC Pro Tour event in Nuland in September 2011. This result helped him to qualify for the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship via the European Order of Merit. He lost 3–0 to Wes Newton in the first round, but averaged an impressive 93.84 Van de Rijck entered the 2012 PDC Q School, and earned a PDC Pro Tour card with a 6–5 win over Andrew Gilding on the second day. Manfred Bilderl (born 24 September 1967) is a German professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation events. He qualified for the 2017 European Darts Trophy, where he lost 6–1 to Jonny Clayton. Almudena Fajardo Ayuso (born 11 August 1996) is a Spanish female professional soft-tip and steel-tip darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) events. She is a two-time EDU European Darts Champion and first Spanish female player who played in the final of the WDF Europe Cup competition. She was qualified for the 2023 WDF World Darts Championship. Career Fajardo is one of the most successful players from Spain. In 2017, she won two bronze medals in singles and cricket competition at the EDU European Darts Championship in Caorle.
