Daniel Godelli
Daniel Godelli (born January 10, 1992, in Peqin) is an Albanian weightlifter, and Olympian competing in the 69 kg and 77 kg categories until 2018 and 81 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories. He has won various medals, most notably the gold medal at the 2014 World Championship in Almaty, but his results at Almaty were later disqualified due to testing positive for doping. Career The most notable achievement during Godelli's youth activities was winning the gold medal on the World Junior Championships in 2011. In this year, also he won bronze medal at 2011 European Weightlifting Championships in Kazan. In 2013 he won a silver (big) medal in the 2013 European Weightlifting Championships in Tirana, Albania. He had silver in Snatch and gold in Clean&Jerk. World Weightlifting Championships
The World Weightlifting Championships is an event organised by International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). The first competition, held in March 1891, was won by Edward Lawrence Levy of England. Athletes compete in a total of 20 weight categories (10 for men and 10 for women): *Men categories: 55 kg, 61 kg, 67 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 89 kg, 96 kg, 102 kg, 109 kg and +109 kg. *Women categories: 45 kg, 49 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 76 kg, 81 kg, 87 kg and +87 kg. 2018 World Weightlifting Championships
The 2018 World Weightlifting Championships were held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from 1 to 10 November 2018. The logo of IWF World Championships 2018 has consisted of abstract illustration of weightlifting athlete designed by Ashgabat based design firm, Belli Creative Studio This was the first World Championship, after the IWF changed their weight classes and nullified all world records. As a result this World Championship saw a total of 31 senior men's world records set, and 41 senior women's world records set.
