Dryden High School (2009 population 830) is a composite secondary school situated in Dryden, Ontario, Canada. Activities Dryden High School runs a competitive athletics program as part of the Northwestern Ontario Secondary School Athletics league (NorWOSSA). Dryden High School currently has teams in Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Track and Field, Cross Country Running and Cross Country Skiing. In the past, Dryden High School has run a Curling team. Dryden High School has a popular Music program, with student Jazz, Concert and sometimes Pit (musical) bands. The Drama Association puts on yearly productions. This year's production was Disney's High School Musical. The DA (Drama Association), normally referred to as the Drama Club, is the oldest of the Fine Arts clubs. Dryden, originally known as New Prospect, is the second-largest city in the Kenora District of Northwestern Ontario, Canada, located on Wabigoon Lake. Keewatin-Patricia District School Board
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (known as English-language Public District School Board No. 5A prior to 1999) oversees public education in the Kenora District of northwestern Ontario. Judith Hamilton
Judith Hamilton is known for her community theatre work in Dryden, Ontario, Canada. A member and part of the management team of the community theatre group Theatre 17, she is credited with reviving and leading the theatre, and has directed many of their productions. Since 2004, Theatre 17 has staged at least one show per year. Hamilton brought the community together to resurrect the theatre in 2005, producing ''Quilters''. In February 2014, the group performed ''Calendar Girls'', a highly successful production raising money for the community's hospital. They staged ''Love, Loss, and What I Wore'' in January 2015. Christopher Robert Pronger ( or ; born October 10, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and a former advisor to the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
