Donte Mathis
Donte Mathis (born July 13, 1977) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is an assistant coach for the Texas State Bobcats men's team. He played college basketball for the Bobcats from 1995 to 1999. Mathis played professionally in Europe for 13 years. Playing career High school career Mathis attended East Central High School in San Antonio, Texas. He was a starter during his senior season as his team achieved a 35–0 record and won the 1995 Class 5A boys basketball state championship. College career Mathis was a four-year starter for the Bobcats under the direction of head coach Mike Miller. He was the runner-up for the Southland Conference Freshman of the Year award during the 1995–96 season. The Bobcats won the conference and tournament championship during the 1996–97 season. Orlandina Basket
Orlandina Basket, known as Infodrive Capo d'Orlando for sponsorship reasons, is an Italian professional basketball club that is based in Capo d'Orlando, Sicily. It plays in the second tier Serie A2 Basket. Founded in 1978, it was one of the youngest teams of the Serie A 2007-2008 based on foundation date, with in addition being the city with fewest citizens. Hakeem Olajuwon
Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon (; ; born January 21, 1963), nicknamed "the Dream", is a Nigerian Americans, Nigerian-American former professional basketball player. From 1984 to 2002, he played Center (basketball), center in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Houston Rockets and, in his last season, the Toronto Raptors. He led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships in 1994 and 1995. Olajuwon was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 and the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2016. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest centers, as well as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. East Texas
East Texas is a broadly defined cultural, geographic, and ecological region in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Texas that comprises most of 41 counties. It is primarily divided into Northeast and Southeast Texas. Most of the region consists of the Piney Woods ecoregion. East Texas can sometimes be defined only as the Piney Woods. Terrence Johnson (basketball)
Terrence Johnson (born August 10, 1978) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Texas State Bobcats men's basketball team. Coaching career The son of a basketball coach, Johnson began coaching at the high school level, including at St. Bernard High School in Louisiana and Alief Elsik High School in the Houston area, while also working as a personal trainer and AAU coach for many future college basketball players. In 2010, he'd be hired by Jimmy Tillette as an assistant coach at Samford where he'd stay until 2012 before returning to the Houston area and the AAU ranks. Johnson would make his return to college coach when he joined Danny Kaspar's staff at Texas State in 2015 as an assistant coach.
