"Do It for Your Lover" is a song performed by Spanish singer Manel Navarro and written by himself together with Antonio Rayo "Rayito". The song was released as a digital download on 13 January 2017 through Sony Music Spain. It represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The song finished last overall in the final of the contest. Eurovision Song Contest On 12 January 2017, Navarro was confirmed to be one of the six finalists competing in ''Objetivo Eurovisión 2017'', Spain's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. On 11 February 2017, the night of the final, Navarro finished first with the juries and third with the Spanish public, tying him with Mirela and her song "Contigo". The jury then broke the tie in Navarro's favour, and he was declared the winner. As Spain is a member of the " Big Five", he automatically advanced to the final, held on 13 May 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Manel Navarro
Manel Navarro Quesada (born 7 March 1996) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Do It for Your Lover" and finished last in the final. Career 2014–16: Early beginnings Navarro first came to prominence in 2014, when he won the second edition of the regional contest for young singers, Catalunya Teen Star, with an acoustic cover of "Hold On, We're Going Home" by Drake. He also had a YouTube channel where he would publish acoustic covers of songs. Following his victory, he was signed to record label TeenStarRecords, and released his debut single, "Brand New Day", on 4 December 2014. Romania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Yodel It!" written by Mihai Alexandru and Alexandra Niculae. The song was performed by Ilinca and Alex Florea. In October 2016, the Romanian broadcaster Televiziunea Română (TVR) announced that they would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their forced withdrawal in 2016 due to repeated non-payment of debts to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). TVR organised the national final ''Selecția Națională 2017'' in order to select the Romanian entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.
