picture info	Divizia A The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. The Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 campaign, being currently on the 29th place in UEFA's league coefficient ranking list. It is administered by the Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, also known by the acronym LPF. Before the 2006–07 season, the competition was known as ''Divizia A'', but the name had to be changed following the finding that someone else had registered that trademark. 	Valeriu Călinoiu Valeriu Călinoiu (9 October 1928 – 20 December 1990) was a Romanian footballer. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Club career Valeriu Călinoiu was born on 9 October 1928 in Bucharest, Romania and he started playing junior level football in 1942 at Olympia București, after one year moving at Carmen București and started his senior career in 1948 at IMS Hunedoara. He made his Divizia A debut, playing for Petrolul București on 29 May 1949 in a 2–0 away victory against CFR Cluj. 	Gheorghe Băcuț Gheorghe Băcuț (also known as Gheorghe Băcuț I; 12 July 1927 – 24 July 1974) was a Romanian footballer who played as a right back for teams such as ITA Arad, Dinamo București or Progresul Oradea. Career Băcuț was an important player of ITA's golden generation, winning two titles with "the Provincial Champions" and one Romanian Cup. After that, he moved to Dinamo, where he won another national title, in 1955. His brother, Ladislau Băcuț was also a footballer, they played together at ITA Arad and Dinamo București. 	Florea Birtașu Florea Birtașu (1 February 1930 – 9 February 2018) was a Romanian football goalkeeper. Club career Florea Birtașu was born on 1 February 1930, starting to play football in 1950 at Flacăra Roșie București. In 1951 he moved to Flacăra București where under the guidance of coach Gheorghe Bărbulescu he made his Divizia A debut on 16 June 1951 in a 0–0 with CCA București. 	Nicolae Tătaru Nicolae Tătaru (16 December 1931 – 1 August 2001), also known as Tătaru I, was a Romanian footballer. He played eleven years for Steaua București, being one of the symbols of the team. He played as a left forward. He was the older brother of Gheorghe Tătaru who also played professional football at Steaua București. Playing career Nicolae Tătaru signed with Steaua București in 1952, after three months when he played for one of Steaua's second teams, Armata Craiova. He was a part of Steaua's Golden team, playing also for the Romania national football team. He earned 21 caps for Romania, scoring two goals. 	Titus Ozon Titus Ozon (13 May 1927 – 24 November 1996) was a Romanian international football striker and manager. He was considered one of the greatest talents of the postwar in the Romanian football, famous for his extraordinary ability to dribble. Career He was born in Bucharest, in the Obor neighborhood. He started football at Unirea Tricolor București at the age of 10, under the guidance of coach Ștefan Cârjan. In 1948 he came to Dinamo, from which he was loaned disciplinary to Dinamo Braşov in 1951. After returning he was the top-goalsocorer of the Divizia A for two years in a row, in 1952 with 17 goals and in 1953 with 12 goals. 	Constantin Dinulescu Constantin Dinulescu (19 April 1931 – 1 February 2017) was a Romanian football forward who played for Romania in the 1960 European Nations' Cup. 	1956 Divizia B The 1956 Divizia B was the 17th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been changed back to two series, one of them having 13 teams and the other one 14. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A, the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. This was the seventh and the last season played in the spring-autumn system, a system imposed by the new leadership of the country which were in close ties with the Soviet Union. 	1956–57 European Cup The 1956–57 European Cup was the second season of the European Cup, Europe's premier club football tournament. The competition was won for the second time by Real Madrid, who beat Fiorentina 2–0 in the final at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid, on 30 May 1957. After the great success of the first tournament, six new nations entered representatives: Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, England, Luxembourg, Romania and Turkey.
