1956 Divizia B
The 1956 Divizia B was the 17th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been changed back to two series, one of them having 13 teams and the other one 14. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A, the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. This was the seventh and the last season played in the spring-autumn system, a system imposed by the new leadership of the country which were in close ties with the Soviet Union. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. Vagonul Arad
Vagonul Arad was a football club based in Arad, Romania. It was founded in 1911 and it soon became one of the best teams from Arad. It was affiliated to Astra Arad rail equipment manufacturing company. It was dissolved in 2006. History 1911–1948 The club was formed in Arad in 1911 when ''AMEF'' ''(Asociația Muncitorilor pentru Educație Fizică)'' (Workers Association for Physical Education) merged with ''Clubul Sportiv Al Fabricii De Vagoane'' (Rail Cars Factory Sports Club), keeping the first ones name until 1948. After World War I it qualified for the national championship 3 times, but never being able to pass the semi-finals. Gloria CFR Galați
Gloria CFR Galați was a football club based in Galaţi, Galați County, Romania. It was founded in 1932 and dissolved in 1970. History The club was founded in 1932 January 1, at the initiative of the railroad workers from Galați, after the merger of ''Șoimii Gloria'' (founded in 1927) with ''CFR''. The initial colours of the jersey's were yellow-blue. The club's initial name was ''Asociația Sportivă și Culturală'' (Cultural and Sports Association). Until 1936 the team plays in the districtual championship after which it promotes to the Divizia C. Faur București
Faur București was a football club based in Bucharest, Romania. History The club was established in 1935 as Metalul by workers at Malaxa. Prior to World War II they were known as Titanii and Rogifer. After the nationalisation of Malaxa, the club was renamed 23 August before becoming Metalochimic. In 1947–48 the club won promotion from Divizia B into Divizia A. However, they finished second bottom of the division the following season, and were relegated back to Divizia B.1948/49
RSSSF The club was later renamed Energia and then back to Metalul again. The club's junior team won the national championship in 1970 and 1980. Following the in 1989, the club became Faur București. It folded in 2005.

Siderurgistul GalaÈ›i was a football club based in GalaÅ£i, GalaÈ›i County, Romania. It was founded in 1955 and dissolved in 1967. History In 1955 Dinamo GalaÈ›i is founded and in 1961 the club was renamed CSO GalaÈ›i, and one year later renamed again in Siderurgistul, with the following players: Dan, Câmpean, Lupea, Hulea, Stănescu, Dumitru Ionel, Coman I, Oprea, Costache, Militaru, Voicu, I. U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv, commonly known as Universitatea Craiova (), CS U Craiova, or simply U Craiova, is a Romanian professional football team based in Craiova, Dolj County, which competes in the Liga I, the top tier of the Romanian league system. Foresta Fălticeni (also known as ''Foresta Suceava'') was a Romanian professional football club from Fălticeni, Suceava County, Romania, founded in 1954 as ''Avântul Fălticeni'' and subsequently dissolved in 2003.
