Dilkusha Sporting Club ( bn, দিলকুশা স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব), also referred as Dilkusha SC, is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in the Dilkusha area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club currently competes in the Dhaka Second Division Football League, the fourth-tier of Bangladeshi Football. History Dilkusha Sporting Club was founded in 1964, by an organiser who left Mohammedan Sporting Club. In 1968, a young Kazi Salahuddin scored 14 goals in the Dhaka Second Division League to confirm the clubs place at the 1969 edition of the Dhaka League, which was the country's top-tier at the time. In 1974, the club achieved their highest position in the top-tier as runners-up behind Abahani Krira Chakra. Dhaka Second Division Football League is the fourth-tier football league in Bangladesh, and the second highest league division in Dhaka. The league was founded in 1948 as the second-tier of the Dhaka League, while Bangladesh were still under the control of Pakistan. Until 1992, it was the second-tier of Bangladeshi football, before being replaced by the now defunct Dhaka First Division Football League, in 1993. In 2012, the league was further demoted into becoming the country's fourth-tier. The two top-finishing teams in the Super League round are automatically promoted to the Dhaka Senior Division League (Dhaka League). Kazi Md. Salahuddin ( bn, কাজী সালাউদ্দিন; born 23 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi former football player currently serving as a president of South Asian Football Federation. He was a member of the Shadhin Bangla Football Team, the team which played across India to raise funds during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu played for the Bangladesh national football team for 10 years between 1975 and 1985.
