Dhaka League
Dhaka Senior Division Football League, also referred as First Division Football League, is the third tier of football league in Bangladesh. Until 2006, it was the top-tier league of the country. It was established in 1948 as Dhaka League, while Bangladesh was still under Pakistani control. Upon the creation of the new national top-tier professional league B. League in 2007, Dhaka League was merged with Dhaka First Division League, renamed as Dhaka Senior Division Football League and introduced as second tier league. Finally after the creation of Bangladesh Championship League in 2012, it became the third tier. The winner of the league will promoted to Bangladesh Championship League. The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. Victoria Sporting Club, commonly known as Victoria SC, is a football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1903, the club competes in the Dhaka Senior Division League, the third tier of football in Bangladesh. They were relegated from the Bangladesh Championship League, in 2021. Muktijoddha Sangsad KC ( bn, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ ক্রীড়া চক্র) is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club is nicknamed The Freedom Fighters. It competes in the country's premier competition, Bangladesh Premier League. History Early Years Founded in 1981, by the Muktijoddha Sangsad welfare association, in remembrance of the Freedom Fighters that died in Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War. Brothers Union
Brothers Union is a football club based in Gopibag, Dhaka. The club was founded in 1949 and the regal business tycoon Kazi Ghiyasuddin Ahmed, better known as K. G. Ahmed served as the founder chairman of the club. At the beginning it was a well-known cultural organization. In 1973, the club started their football activities. They played 3rd Division Football League in 1973 and in 1974 and were promoted to 2nd Division in 1975. Brothers also won the title in the same year and as a result this club was promoted to 1st Division. Brothers won their first major title in the year 2004. Bangabandhu National Stadium ( bn, বঙ্গবন্ধু জাতীয় স্টেডিয়াম, ''romanised: Bongobondhu jateeyo stediyaam''), also known as Dhaka Stadium, and formerly known as Dacca Stadium, is the national stadium and a multipurpose sports arena in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Dhaka Derby is a football rivalry between the Dhaka teams of Abahani and Mohammedan, although the rivalry was bigger in the past, it is still considered to be the biggest game in the country's domestic football scene. Kazi Md. Salahuddin ( bn, কাজী সালাউদ্দিন; born 23 September 1953) is a Bangladeshi former football player currently serving as a president of South Asian Football Federation. He was a member of the Shadhin Bangla Football Team, the team which played across India to raise funds during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Salahuddin is the first professional football player from the country to play abroad in the professional league in Hong Kong and considered to be one of Bangladesh's most famous football players. He was a member of the Bangladesh national football team, retiring in 1980. Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka, founded in 1936 at Dhaka, is one of the oldest and one of the most popular football clubs in Bangladesh, with a support base in all parts of the country. Sheikh Jamal (28 April 1954 – 15 August 1975) was the second son of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first president of Bangladesh. Early life Jamal was born at Tungipara, Gopalganj on 28 April 1954. His father was Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his mother was Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. He was their second son after Sheikh Kamal. He was a freedom fighter. His sister, Sheikh Hasina, is the current Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Team Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (Team BJMC) was a sporting club in Bangladesh, which is mainly located in the city of Dhaka. The club was formerly known as East Pakistan IDC prior to 1971 and Bangladesh JIC from 1971 until 1978, from which point onward the club has been renamed to Team BJMC.
