Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 1996
Denmark chose Dorthe Andersen and Martin Loft, with the song "Kun med dig", to be their representatives at the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held on 18 May in Oslo. "Kun med dig" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 9 March. However, Denmark was one of seven countries which failed to qualify for the Eurovision final from a pre-qualifying round, so they were not represented in Oslo. Before Eurovision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1996 The final was held at the DR TV studios in Copenhagen on 9 March 1996 and hosted by Hans Otto Bisgård. Five songs competed in the contest and the winner was selected solely by a public televote. The results of the public televote were revealed by Denmark's regions and "Kun med dig" was an overwhelming winner, receiving more votes than the other four songs combined. Jascha Richter
Jascha Richter (born 24 June 1963) is a Danish-American singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the soft rock band Michael Learns to Rock, where he composes and sings most of their songs. Keld Heick
Keld Heick (born 24 February 1946 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known for his contribution to the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, where he has submitted over 30 songs. In 1963 Heick formed the band ''Keld & the Donkeys''. The band's big breakthrough came in 1966 with the song "Ved landsbyens gadekær" (eng. "At the village pond"). In 1976 he decided to merge his professional and personal life, when he made a duo with his wife Hilda Heick. They made their debut with the hit "Do you speak English?" and later had another hit with "Jeg ringer på fredag" (eng. "I'll call you this Friday"). Besides the music Keld Heick has also worked as a tv host. In 1996-1997 he was the host of '' Lykkehjulet'' the Danish version of ''Wheel of Fortune''. The Eurovision Song Contest 1996 was the 41st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held on 18 May 1996 at the in Oslo, Norway. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (NRK) and presented by Norwegian journalist and television presenter Ingvild Bryn and Norwegian singer Morten Harket, the contest was held in Norway following the country's victory at the with the song "" by Secret Garden. Oslo

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (), also known as Melodi Grand Prix or simply DMGP, is an annual music competition organised by the Danish public broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR) since 1957, which determines the for the Eurovision Song Contest. The festival has produced three Eurovision winners and fourteen top-five placings. Peter Belli
Peter Belli (born Georg Peter Brandt; 19 June 1943 in Kiel) is a Danish singer and actor. Career Peter's debut as a singer was in 1959, for a band called ''Trefters''. In the 1960s, Belli became Denmark's first rock star, alongside his band, ''Les Rivals'', warming up for such greats as The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. In the 1970s, Belli transitioned to doing more dansktop, having several hits such as ''Bliv væk fra vort kvarter'' and ''Ingen regning''. Morten Mabunda Lindberg (; 23 September 1965 – 26 March 2019), also known as "Master Fatman", was a Danish media personality and creative, including comedian, taxi driver, performer, disc jockey, host, musician, singer, film maker, actor, and benefactor. Lars Muhl is a Danish writer, mystic and musician, born in Aarhus, Denmark in 1950. For many years, Lars Muhl was a successful singer-songwriter in Denmark. Thomas Blachman (born 1963) is a Danish jazz musician, composer, and judge on the Danish version of ''X Factor''. Biography Blachman is the son of Henning and Annie Blachman.
