''Dans une galaxie près de chez vous'' (English: ''In a galaxy near you'') is a Quebec French language television series that aired on Canal Famille (later Vrak.TV) from January 25, 1999 to November 25, 2001, and a movie of the same name, released in 2004. The second movie, ''Dans une galaxie près de chez vous 2'', was released in April 2008. There have been rumours of a third movie since 2016, but no official announcements have been made. It is a humorous sci-fi parody. Paul Ahmarani (born 1972) is a Canadian actor. Both his parents have a teaching background; one is from Cacouna, Quebec, Cacouna, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Quebec and the other from the Mediterranean coast. Ahmarani is known for his roles in the movies ''The Left-Hand Side of the Fridge'' (''La Moitié gauche du frigo'') and ''How My Mother Gave Birth to Me During Menopause'' (''Comment ma mère accoucha de moi durant sa ménopause''). ''In the Belly of the Dragon'' (french: Dans le ventre du dragon) is a Canadian comedy science fiction film, directed by Yves Simoneau and released in 1989. Vrak (stylized as VRΔK) is a Canadian French language specialty channel owned by Bell Media. The channel primarily broadcasts live-action programming aimed at youth audiences. History Background The youth channel TVJQ () went on the air in 1982 and was distributed by a subsidiary of Vidéotron. It was originally available only in the Montreal and Quebec City areas.
