Daniel E. Williams (born August 4, 1949) is a Canadian politician, businessman, and lawyer who served as the ninth premier of Newfoundland and Labrador between November 6, 2003, and December 3, 2010. Williams was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Before entering politics Williams was a highly successful lawyer and businessman. After becoming Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2001, he was elected to the House of Assembly in a by-election for the district of Humber West in Corner Brook. Williams's premiership was controversial outside of Newfoundland and Labrador. Events such as ordering all Canadian flags to be removed from provincial government buildings, and launching the Anything But Conservative campaign in the 2008 federal election, garnered national attention. Danny Williams (born 2 March 1981) is an English former professional footballer who is now an FA licensed agent. He started his career at Chesterfield where after making his debut at turf moor (Burnley) aged 18 he went on to become a regular in his third season, before being released in 2002, like many players due to the ITV Digital saga. He was signed by Hereford United where he spent a further three seasons, almost gaining promotion to the Football League in the 2003–04 season. He scored two goals in a televised 9–0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge His next club was Stevenage Borough under Graham Westley but after a good start, coming on as a substitute against Crawley Town and scoring from a free-kick with his first touch, his season was curtailed due to injury. Daniel Peter Williams (born 13 July 1973) is a British professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC and '' The Ring'' magazine heavyweight titles in 2004. At regional level, he has held multiple heavyweight championships, including the Commonwealth title twice between 1999 and 2006; the British title twice between 2000 and 2010; and challenged once for the European title in 2003. As an amateur, he won bronze medals at the 1993 European Championships and 1994 Commonwealth Games. Williams is best known for scoring an upset knockout victory against Mike Tyson in 2004. Daniel Williams (born 26 September 1986) is an English rugby league footballer who last played for the Bradford Bulls in the Championship. Williams played for Leeds, and spent 2007 on loan at Castleford ( Heritage № 880), and, due to injuries to first choice wingers Gareth Raynor and Matt Sing, has moved to Hull F.C. for the start of 2008's Super League XIII. After returning from loan at Hull F.C. to Leeds Rhinos, it was announced that Williams was switching codes, to join Guinness Premiership side, Newcastle Falcons, in time for the start of their 2008/09 campaign. Williams spent his early career in the English non-league, playing for Daisy Hill, FC United of Manchester, Clitheroe, Kendal Town and Chester. Daniel Ivor Llewellyn Williams (born 12 July 1979 in Wrexham) is a former Welsh footballer and Wales under-21 international. Career Williams started his football career in 1997 at the age of 18 as a trainee at Liverpool. In 1999 other clubs started to have interest in Danny especially his own birthplace of Wrexham.
