Daniel Stock
Daniel Stock (born 16 September 1992) is a Norwegian cross-country skier. He competed at the 2012 Junior World Championships, later in the U23 age class at the 2014 Junior World Championships where he won the bronze medal in the 30 km skiathlon. He made his World Cup debut in March 2014 in the Holmenkollen 50 km race, collecting his first World Cup points in the 2015 edition of the same race with a 25th place. In January 2017 in Ulricehamn he finished fifth in the 15 km race, and in February 2017 in Pyeongchang Pyeongchang (; in full, ''Pyeongchang-gun'' ; ) is a county in the province of Gangwon-do, South Korea, located in the Taebaek Mountains region. The 2015–16 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 35th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 27 November 2015 in Kuusamo, Finland, and ended on 12 March 2016 in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Therese Johaug set a new record for total points in one season, with 2681. Martin Johnsrud Sundby set a new men's record for total points in one season, with 2634. Sundby won 14 races during the season and surpassed Petter Northug's record of nine victories which he achieved in both 2009–10 and 2012–13. The 2014–15 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was the 34th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and women. The season started on 29 November 2014 in Ruka, Finland and ended on 15 March 2015 in Oslo, Norway. The season's biggest event is FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015. Changed results due to doping violation On 20 July 2016, Martin Johnsrud Sundby was banned from competing in ski competitions for two months by the FIS after having used an asthma medicine incorrectly during the 2014–15 season. He was also stripped of two results; a victory in 15 km C in Davos, 13 December 2014 and a third place in 25 km F Pursuit in Toblach, 8 January 2015. the latter also resulted in Sundby losing the Tour de Ski title. Due to losing a total of 616 points for the affected competitions he also lost the overall World Cup title.
