Centro Sperimentale Di Cinematografia
The Centro sperimentale di cinematografia (Experimental Film Centre or Italian National film school) was established in 1935 in Italy and aims to promote the art and technique of cinematography and film. The centre is the oldest film school in Western Europe, founded in the city of Rome in 1935 during the Benito Mussolini era by his head of cinema Luigi Freddi. It was and still is financed by the Italian government and focuses on education, research, publication, and theory. Giuseppe Rotunno
Giuseppe Rotunno (19 March 1923 – 7 February 2021) was an Italian cinematographer. Biography Sometimes credited as Peppino Rotunno, he was director of photography on eight films by Federico Fellini. He collaborated with several celebrated Italian directors including; Vittorio De Sica on ''Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'' starring Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni, and Luchino Visconti on ''Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960), ''The Leopard (1963 film), The Leopard'' (1963), and ''The Stranger (1967 film), The Stranger'' (1967). Carlo Gregorio Verdone (born 17 November 1950) is an Italian actor, screenwriter and film director. Verdone is best known for his comedic roles in Italian classics, which he also wrote and directed. Emidio Greco
Emidio Greco (20 October 1938 – 22 December 2012) was an Italian film director and screenwriter, best known for the 1974 film ''Morel's Invention''. Life and career Born in Leporano, in the province of Taranto, Greco moved in Turin as a child. In 1964 he graduated at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, then, two years later, he started an activity as documentarist for RAI TV. In 1971 he attended Roberto Rossellini accompanying him in Chile for a filmed interview with Salvador Allende. Domenico Distilo (born 25 December 1978 in Rome, Lazio, Italy) is a filmmaker living and working between Rome, Italy and Berlin, Germany. Christian Filippella is a producer, cinematographer and director, current member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and the Television Academy (ATAS/NATAS). Filippella began working as an independent filmmaker in Spain and Ireland. Specifically, Nanni Loy was Sardinian, and one of several notable Sardinian film makers, including Franco Solinas.
