Carroll High School is a school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Northwest Allen County Schools and is accredited by the North Central Association. History Indiana school reorganization The Indiana General Assembly passed the Indiana School Reorganization Act of 1959, which required school districts with fewer than 2,000 students to consolidate with nearby districts. This resulted in the three Allen County townships of Lake, Eel River and Perry combining into Northwest Allen County Schools (NACS). At that time, high schools existed in Arcola and Huntertown. Northwest Allen County Schools is a public school district that serves Lake, Eel River, and Perry Townships in Allen County, Indiana. It is commonly referred to as NACS because of its respective initials. History The school district was organized in 1965 by the virtue of the consolidation of Eel River-Perry Consolidated School and Lake Township School. The first school was Carroll High School, built in 1967. Governing The schools are governed by a five-member non-partisan school board. Since the 1965 official organization of the district, there have only been a total of 27 board members serve a position. Members are elected at the time of the May primary in alternate years with one representative from each of the townships and two at-large representatives. Drue Tranquill (born August 15, 1995) is an American football linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). It monitors a system that divides athletically-competing high schools in Indiana based on the school's enrollment.
