Justin Busch
Justin Busch (born 1980) is an American politician serving as a member of the Indiana Senate from Senate District 16. He assumed office on November 6, 2018. Early life and education Busch was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational communication and history from Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2003. Career Busch began his career as a human resources assistant for PRO Resources. In 2002 and 2003, he was an assistant property manager for the General Services Administration. In 2003, he served as an intern in the White House Office. Busch was also a field director for the George W. Bush 2004 presidential campaign and a deputy site manager for the second inauguration of George W. Bush. The 2010 United States Senate election in Indiana took place on November 2, 2010, alongside 33 other elections to the United States Senate in other states and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections to fill Indiana's class III United States Senate seat. Incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Evan Bayh decided in February 2010 to retire instead of seeking a third term shortly after Republican former U.S. Senator Dan Coats, announced his candidacy for Bayh's contested seat. Bayh's announcement came one day before the filing deadline and no Democratic candidate submitted enough signatures by the deadline to run, so the State Democratic Party chose U.S. Congressman Brad Ellsworth as their nominee. Richard Green Lugar (April 4, 1932 – April 28, 2019) was an American politician who served as a United States Senator from Indiana from 1977 to 2013. He was a member of the Republican Party. Born in Indianapolis, Lugar graduated from Denison University and the University of Oxford. He served on the Indianapolis Board of School Commissioners from 1964 to 1967 before he was elected to two terms as mayor of Indianapolis, serving from 1968 to 1976.
