Capcom Arcade Cabinet
''Capcom Arcade Cabinet'' is a compilation of seventeen Capcom 1980s arcade games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The compilation was released in five separate packs of three games during February–May 2013. A purchase of all five packs included two additional games free. The full compilation pack was released in April 2013. An arcade machine was made to promote the ''Capcom Arcade Cabinet'' series at the Gadget Show Live 2013 in Birmingham, UK. Metacritic is a website that aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. is a vertically scrolling shooter video game developed and published by Capcom in Japan in 1984 and released in North America by SNK the same year. The game was Capcom's first video game. The game is included in '' Capcom Classics Collection'' and is available as freeware. A Nintendo Entertainment System sequel was developed but never released. However, a playable finished ROM has surfaced online since its cancellation. Gameplay The player controls a spaceship with a single objective: destroy incoming enemies. The vessel has two different weapons: a primary weapon with infinite ammunition and a limited supply of bombs. By picking up the "Pow" icons, which sporadically appear throughout the levels, the player can replenish supplies. is a maze video game by Capcom originally released in 1984 as a coin-operated arcade game. SonSon
is an arcade video game by Capcom released in July 1984. It is loosely based on the Chinese novel '' Journey to the West''. The player assumes the role of a monkey boy (who is patterned after Sun Wukong from the story) and fights their way from one side to another, eventually reaching the statue of Buddha. One battles bats, rats, and mad bombers along the way with his fighting rod that shoots balls of fire. The game was ported from the arcade to the Family Computer in Japan. A sequel, titled ''SonSon II'', heavily based on '' Black Tiger'', was released for the PC Engine, published by NEC Avenue. According to composer Manami Matsumae, the PC Engine title was made by Capcom, one of the few games that they developed for the console themselves.
