This article contains the current number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths per population by country. It also has cumulative death totals by country. This data is for entire populations, and does not reflect the differences in rates relative to different age groups. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). A comma-separated values (CSV) file is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the file is a data record (computer science), record. Each record consists of one or more field (computer science), fields, separated by commas. The use of the comma as a field separator is the source of the name for this file format. A CSV file typically stores Table (information), tabular data (numbers and text) in plain text, in which case each line will have the same number of fields. The CSV file format is not fully standardized. Separating fields with commas is the foundation, but commas in the data or embedded newline, line breaks have to be handled specially.
