European Cup (baseball)
The European Cup is an annual baseball tournament, sanctioned and created by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB). The tournament features the top teams of the professional baseball leagues in Europe. Starting in 2008, the tournament is now held in two locations. The best two teams from each tournament then compete in the European Champion Cup "Final Four", with the winner receiving the European Champion Cup. Between 2013 and 2015, the "Final Four" format was replaced with a best-of-three series between the winners of each tournament. In the 2015 tournament, six teams competed in the Paris group, while six other teams competed in Rotterdam. The best two teams then competed in the "Final Four" in Italy, in a best-of-three series, for the championship. Bonn Capitals
The Bonn Capitals (full name: "1. Baseballclub Bonn Capitals e.V.") are a German baseball and softball club from Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, founded on November 8, 1989. Its first men's team has been competing in the Baseball Bundesliga since 1994 and currently plays in its northern division, the Bundesliga Nord, after initially playing in the southern division until 1996. The women's softball team was promoted to the northern division of the Softball Bundesliga in 2018. The Capitals have won the northern division championship eight times and advanced to the finals of the Bundesliga play-offs seven times, winning twice (in 2018 and 2022). They were runners-up in the European Cup in 2021, the third German team ever to do so and the first in over a decade. The 2016 European Champions Cup was a European baseball competition, held from May 31, to June 4, 2016. This was the fifty-forth iteration of the Cup since its inaugural tournament in 1963. The Rimini Baseball Club is a team that played in Serie A1 Italian Baseball League. The team is based in the city of Rimini and plays its home games at the Stadio dei Pirati since 1973. Neptunus
Neptunus is a baseball and softball club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Following its 2014 championship season, the club signed a sponsorship contract for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons with Curaçao and competes under the name Curaçao Neptunus. Baseball club Neptunus has a revenue of 1 million euros. Neptunus plays in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse, the top level of professional baseball in the Netherlands, where it is its most successful team. It won the Holland Series seven consecutive times from 1999 to 2005 and won the European Cup five consecutive times from 2000 to 2004.
