Cristina Gutiérrez
Cristina Gutiérrez Herrero (born 24 July 1991) is a Spanish dentist and rally raid driver who in 2017 became the first Spanish female car driver to finish the Dakar Rally. In 2021 she was the second woman to win a stage in Dakar Rally history. She participates in the Extreme E electric cross-country series, driving for Lewis Hamilton's Team X44. Racing career Early career Gutiérrez debuted in rally raid in 2010. She was overall runner-up at the 2015 Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship. Dakar Rally Gutiérrez debuted her international rally career in the 2017 Dakar Rally, racing in a modified Mitsubishi Pajero. Gutiérrez's first race was a success. She finished 44th overall and 6th in the T1.S class, in a race where 27% of class entrants did not manage to complete the course. The 2021 Desert X-Prix was an Extreme E off-road race that was held on 3 and 4 April 2021 in Al-'Ula, Saudi Arabia. It was the first Championship round of the electric off-road racing car series' inaugural season. The 2022 Energy X-Prix (formally the 2022 Uruguay Natural Energy X-Prix) was an Extreme E off-road race that was held on 26 and 27 November 2022 near José Ignacio, Maldonado Department, Uruguay, about 25 km east of the seaside city of Punta del Este. It was the fifth and final round of the electric off-road racing car series' second season, and also marked the first running of the event. Abt Cupra XE won its first X-Prix with Nasser Al-Attiyah and Klara Andersson. The 2022 Copper X-Prix (formally the 2022 Antofagasta Minerals Copper X-Prix) was an Extreme E off-road race that was held on 24 and 25 September 2022 in the small mining city of Calama, in the Atacama Desert in the Chilean region of Antofagasta. It was the fourth round of the electric off-road racing car series' second season, and also marked not only the first running of the event, but also the first time the series visited South America, after planned trips to Brazil and Argentina were cancelled in 2021. The 2022 Island X-Prix (formally the 2022 Neom Island X-Prix) was a pair of Extreme E off-road races that was held on 6, 7, 9 and 10 July 2022 at Capo Teulada, in the Sulcis-Iglesiente region of the Italian island of Sardinia. It marked the second and third rounds of the electric off-road racing car series' second season, as well as the second running of the event. Though initially scheduled to host only the second round in May, it was later turned into a double header and postponed to July when the third round, originally planned to take place in Scotland or Senegal, was cancelled due to financial issues. 2022 Extreme E Championship
The 2022 Extreme E Championship was the second season of the Extreme E electric off-road racing series. Calendar On 24 September 2021, a provisional five-round calendar was revealed, which included a return to Saudi Arabia for the season opener in February, an African event, a second Arctic X-Prix in Greenland or Iceland, and two trips to South America. A further update was announced on 22 December 2021. Saudi Arabia and Sardinia return from the previous year, with new events to be held in Chile, Uruguay and either Scotland or Senegal. The latter was later cancelled on 8 April due to financial issues, with Sardinia postponed until July and now set to host two events. 2021 Jurassic X-Prix
The 2021 Jurassic X-Prix was an Extreme E off-road race that was held on 18 and 19 December 2021 at Bovington Camp, in Dorset, England. It was the fifth and last round of the electric off-road racing car series' inaugural season. A significant rule adjustment was introduced for the event to accommodate the short nature of the circuit, each session now consisting of three laps, with the starting driver, who in the final would be the female driver, taking the first two. The final was won by Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb for Team X44, ahead of JBXE and Andretti United Extreme E.
