2022 Desert X-Prix
The 2022 Desert X-Prix was an Extreme E off-road race that was held on 19 and 20 February 2022 in the future planned city of Neom, Saudi Arabia. It was the first round of the electric off-road racing car series' second season, and also marked the second running of the event, albeit in a different location to 2021. The final was won by Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky and Johan Kristoffersson for reigning champions Rosberg X Racing, ahead of the Acciona Sainz XE Team and Team X44. 2022 Extreme E Championship
The 2022 Extreme E Championship was the second season of the Extreme E electric off-road racing series. Calendar On 24 September 2021, a provisional five-round calendar was revealed, which included a return to Saudi Arabia for the season opener in February, an African event, a second Arctic X-Prix in Greenland or Iceland, and two trips to South America. A further update was announced on 22 December 2021. Saudi Arabia and Sardinia return from the previous year, with new events to be held in Chile, Uruguay and either Scotland or Senegal. The latter was later cancelled on 8 April due to financial issues, with Sardinia postponed until July and now set to host two events. Kyle LeDuc (born July 29, 1981) is an American professional racing driver. He mainly competes in short course off-road truck racing, where he has seven Pro 4 class championships, six of which came in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS), and over 100 career wins. , he races in Championship Off-Road (COR) and Extreme E, the latter for Chip Ganassi Racing. Kenneth Timmy Hansen (born 21 May 1992) is a rallycross driver from Sweden. He won the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, driving for Team Peugeot-Hansen. Catie Munnings (born 15 November 1997) is a British rally driver. The daughter of former rally driver Chris Munnings, she currently competes in the new electric off-road racing series Extreme E for the Andretti United team. JBXE is an Extreme E racing team. The team was founded by the 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button, and takes part in the series that is highlighting the impacts of climate change. History In January 2021, it was announced that Jenson Button had founded his own team for the newly established racing series. The name "JBXE" takes its name from the initials of Jenson Button, with the XE standing for Extreme E.
