Cyprus was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "", composed by Dimitris Korgialas, with lyrics by Poseidonas Yiannopoulos, and performed by Evridiki. The Cypriot participating broadcaster, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), internally selected its entry for the contest. Evridiki was announced on 26 January 2007. She had previously represented and where she both placed 11th. The song, "", was presented to the public on 23 February 2007 during the special show ''Cyprus 12 Points - Chypre 12 Points''. This was the first time that Cyprus was represented with a song performed entirely in the French language at the Eurovision Song Contest. Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation
Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (; ), or CyBC (; ), is Cyprus' public broadcasting service. Evridiki Theokleous (, ; born 25 February 1968), known mononymously as Evridiki, is a Greek Cypriot singer. She is best known in Europe for representing her home country, Cyprus, in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992, 1994 and 2007 with the songs '' Teriazoume'', '' Eimai Anthropos Ki Ego'' and ''Comme Ci, Comme Ça'', respectively. Helsinki Halli, or Helsinki Arena (formerly Hartwall Arena), is a large multi-functional indoor arena located in Helsinki, Finland. It was opened in April 1997. The arena is convertible for various events.
