Chishui, Dehua County
Chishui () is a mountainous town and one of eleven fourth-order administrative divisions under the jurisdiction of northwest Dehua County, Quanzhou, Fujian, China, located 33 kilometres from the county seat and home to a species of ''Apanteles'' ''( Apanteles opacus''). Chishui has Jiuxian Mountain in its administrative town boundaries. Daiyun Mountain (also known as Yingxue Mountain) is another mountain in Daiyun, a village administered under Chishui. Daiyun Mountain is 1856 metres tall, takes up 35 km2, and is heavily vegetated, protected and trailed. It is known as 'the ridge of Mid-Fujian' and overlooks Alishan mountain ranges in Taiwan. Huangshan pine trees are scattered over the mountain. Chishui also has a ceramics museum and a location on the Taoxian River. Pinus Hwangshanensis
''Pinus hwangshanensis'', or Huangshan pine, is a pine endemic to the mountains of eastern China; it is named after the Huangshan Mountains in Anhui, from where it was first described. Description ''Pinus hwangshanensis'' is an evergreen tree reaching in height, with a very broad, flat-topped crown of long, level branches. The bark is thick, grayish, and scaly plated. The leaves are needle-like, dark green, 2 per fascicle, long and wide, the persistent fascicle sheath long. The cones are broad squat ovoid, long, yellow-brown, opening when mature in late winter to 5–7 cm broad. The seeds are winged, long with a 1.5–2.5 cm wing. Pollination occurs in mid-spring, with the cones maturing 18–20 months after. Köppen Climate Classification
The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. It was first published by German-Russian climatologist Wladimir Köppen (1846–1940) in 1884, with several later modifications by Köppen, notably in 1918 and 1936. Later, the climatologist Rudolf Geiger (1894–1981) introduced some changes to the classification system, which is thus sometimes called the Köppen–Geiger climate classification system. Humid Subtropical Climate
A humid subtropical climate is a zone of climate characterized by hot and humid summers, and cool to mild winters. These climates normally lie on the southeast side of all continents (except Antarctica), generally between latitudes 25° and 40° and are located poleward from adjacent tropical climates. Alishan Range
The Alishan Range () is a mountain range in the central-southern region of Taiwan. It is separated by the Qishan River from the Yushan Range, the tallest range in Taiwan, to the east of the Alishan Range.
