Chieftain Products was a Canada-based toy & game company which released games such as Scrabble, Atmosfear, etc. Founded in 1972 by Edward J. Scott in Toronto, Ontario, this toy company was closed down in 1996 after the release of Atmosfear 4. It moved in 1980 to North York, Ontario. Atmosfear (series)
''Atmosfear'' (previously known as ''Nightmare'' in certain regions) is an Australian horror video board game series released in 1991 by Phillip Tanner and Brett Clements. Two years after the game's launch in 1991, the two millionth ''Nightmare'' board game was sold. Since then, three game expansions have been released. A major refresh to the series was released in 1995, titled ''The Harbingers'', which sold above the industry's sales predictions in Australia and became one of the top-ten best-selling games in the United States and the United Kingdom within months of its release. North York
North York is one of the six administrative districts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located directly north of York, Old Toronto and East York, between Etobicoke to the west and Scarborough to the east. As of the 2016 Census, it had a population of 869,401. ''True Dough Mania'' is a Canadian board game, created by George J. Reti, which was released in 1982 by Chieftain Products. Subtitled "a game of chance where you have no chance", the game was a satire on Canadian politics. The name was a pun on "Trudeaumania", the name given to the aura of excitement surrounding Pierre Trudeau in the 1968 election; Trudeau was still Canada's Prime Minister in 1982, but his popularity had waned significantly. In the game, each player is the owner of a Canadian business. Players roll the dice and advance around a map of Canada.
