Cherry Rondina
Cherry Ann Rondina (born September 4, 1996), popularly known as Sisi Rondina, is a Filipino indoor and beach volleyball player. She is currently playing for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans at the Premier Volleyball League. She was a former member and captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team. She is a 4-time UAAP Beach Volleyball MVP and the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball MVP and Athlete of the Year. She is a current member of the Philippines Women Beach Volleyball team. Personal life Rondina was born in Compostela, Cebu, to a family of three sisters to Alona, a dressmaker, and Arnold Rondina, a fisherman. Career Rondina first found her love for sports in track and field, in which she would usually grace the sands of the beach near her home. UAAP Season 77
UAAP Season 77 is the 2014–15 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The season host is the University of the East with Carmelita Mateo as president. Eight universities are competing in fifteen sports to vie for the general championship. Each sporting event is hosted by a school. Some of these sporting events are aired live or on a delayed telecast by ABS-CBN Sports+Action and ABS-CBN Channel 2. UAAP Season 79
UAAP Season 79 (also known as UAAP LXXIX) is the 2016–2017 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season, hosted by the University of Santo Tomas officially opened on September 3, 2016. The opening ceremony was held at the UST Plaza Mayor at 3:00 pm with the formal introduction of ballroom dancing as a demonstration sport in this season by the host school University of Santo Tomas (UST) at España, Manila. The official ceremony started at 5:00 pm as there was a concert party themed "Dare to Dream" where the official theme song for the season was revealed. Foton Tornadoes
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. International tournaments As the champion of the 2015 PSL Grand Prix, Foton represented the Philippines, playing as Foton Pilipinas, in the 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship held in Biñan, Laguna. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament.
