Foton Tornadoes
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. International tournaments As the champion of the 2015 PSL Grand Prix, Foton represented the Philippines, playing as Foton Pilipinas, in the 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship held in Biñan, Laguna. The team was reinforced by three selected players from other PSL teams as well as imports Lindsay Stalzer and Ariel Usher. Mylene Paat
Mylene Balan Paat (born April 5, 1994) is a Filipino professional volleyball player. She currently plays for Nakhon Ratchasima of the Women's Volleyball Thailand League. She also represents the Philippines women's national volleyball team. At the collegiate level, she played for the Adamson Lady Falcons indoor volleyball and beach volleyball teams. Early life Mylene Paat was raised in Luac, Bani, Pangasinan, to parents Dante G. Paat and Ligaya B. Paat. Mylene has 4 siblings. Career 2013-2014 Mylene Paat debut as a rookie of Adamson Women's Volleyball team on the year 2013-2014 wherein the UAAP Season 76 is being held. The Philippine SuperLiga All-Stars was a volleyball selection team composing of players from the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). It competed as a club team in international club tournaments outside the Philippines such as the AVC Club Volleyball Championship and the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. History 2016 Thai-Denmark Super League The Philippine Super Liga was invited to participate in the 2016 Women's Volleyball Thai-Denmark Super League in Bangkok, Thailand. The league decided to send a selection team instead of one of the clubs competing in the league. The selection of players was done around late February 2016. Alyja Daphne "Jaja" Antonio Santiago (born January 20, 1996) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for Saitama Ageo Medics of the Japan's V.League. Personal life Santiago was born on January 20, 1996, the fourth of five siblings. May Luna
May Luna (born May 3, 1998) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She played with the De La Salle University collegiate women's varsity volleyball in the Season 78 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. She has also played in the Philippine Volleyball Federation National Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament (InterCol), Philippine National Games, Philippine University Games, Palarong Pambansa and Shakey's G-League. 2021 PVL Season
The 2021 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season was the fourth season of the Premier Volleyball League (17th season of the former Shakey's V-League) and the first season of the PVL as a professional league. No tournament was held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 season was staged with precautionary measures. Changes Professional status The Games and Amusements Board in October 2020 issued a directive that it would consider players compensated for non-national team play would be considered as professionals, as well as that for all sporting events organized for profit as professional in nature. 2021 PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup
The 2021 Gatorade PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup was the first conference and for the Philippine Super Liga's ninth season. The tournament was held on February 26 and 27, 2021 at the Subic Tennis Center of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority at Subic Bay. The tournament marked the resumption of PSL games since the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), through its Resolution 79, allowing the staging of the tournament using a bubble setup in Subic. It became the final tournament of the PSL. 2016 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2016 PLDT Home Ultera PSL Invitational Cup was the first indoor volleyball tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fourth season. It ran from February 18 to April 9, 2016, coinciding with the UAAP Season 78 volleyball tournaments. A guest team from Thailand, playing under the name Est Cola, joined the final round, clashing against top three teams of the preliminary round for the championship.
