The 2017 Belo PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup was the second tournament of the Philippine Superliga for its fifth season. Generika Lifesavers
The Generika Ayala Lifesavers are a professional women's volleyball team owned by Actimed, Inc. (Generika Drugstore) in partnership with Ayala Corporation. History Generika Drugstore first became involved in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) when it sponsored the Philippine Army Lady Troopers during the 2014 All-Filipino Conference, playing as the "Generika-Army Lady Troopers". For the following conference, the company formed its own team composed of the coaching staff and most of the players from the disbanded AirAsia Flying Spikers. The franchise did not participate during the 2015 season and remnants of the team went on to form the nucleus of the Shopinas.com Lady Clickers. The company reactivated its PSL participation during the 2016 All-Filipino Conference with a new lineup. Foton Tornadoes
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. International tournaments As the champion of the 2015 PSL Grand Prix, Foton represented the Philippines, playing as Foton Pilipinas, in the 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship held in Biñan, Laguna. Maria Patricia Dianne Perez Medina-Ilustre (born November 5, 1986) is a Filipino actress, dancer, television host, anchor and part-time model. Victonara "Ara" Salas Galang (born January 4, 1995) is a multi-awarded, Filipina volleyball player. She was UAAP Rookie of the Year and Best Server during the Season 74 and UAAP Most Valuable Player in the Season 75. She is the former team captain (2014-2015) of the De La Salle University Lady Spikers. Career Galang was discovered by DLSU Lady Spikers head coach, Ramil de Jesus during one of her games at the Shakey's V-League girls division in 2009. She was a junior high school at Angeles University Foundation at that time. Team Volleyball Manila (originally, Team Volleyball Madness) is a professional volleyball team in the Philippines playing in various tournaments, including the Spikers' Turf (previously with the Premier Volleyball League) and Philippine Superliga (PSL). The Instituto Estetico Manila Volley Masters are a professional men's volleyball team playing in various tournaments, including the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) and the Spikers' Turf. The team is owned by Instituto Estetico Manila, a dental and dermatological clinic. In 2014, the team joined the Philippine Super Liga in its 2014 All-Filipino Conference. Shiela Marie "Bang" Pineda (born January 21, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. Career Pineda played for Adamson Lady Falcons during the UAAP Season 75 being named Best Server and the UAAP Season 76. She then played for Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns in the 11th Season Open Conference being named Best Digger and 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference before joining Petron Tri-Activ Spikers. In the 2017 season of the Philippine SuperLiga, Pineda and teammate Frances Molina of Petron XCS won the bronze medal in the Beach Challenge Cup. Frances Xinia Dionisio Molina (born September 23, 1994) is a Filipino volleyball player. She currently plays as an outside hitter for the Cignal HD Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League. She played with the Philippine Super Liga All-Stars in the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship. She is part of the Philippines women's national volleyball team.
