Champ Motorsport is a Chinese auto racing team based in Zhuhai, China. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2016. Having also raced in the TCR Asia Series, Asian Formula Renault Series and China Formula 4 Championship amongst others. Asian Formula Renault Series Having first entered the championship in 2004. The team returned in 2005 and won the championship with Taiwanese driver Hanss Lin. The team kept entering the series for many years before again winning the title in 2013 with Colombian driver Julia Acosta. China Formula 4 Championship The team entered the first season of the China F4 series with Chinese drivers Chen Zhuoxuan, Liu Wenlong, Yang Fan and Xie Ruilin alongside 2013 Asian Formula Renault champion Julio Acosta. F4 Chinese Championship () is a racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4. The inaugural season was the 2015–16 edition. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched the FIA Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of Formula 4 is to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. It involves sporting and technical regulations and regulates costs. Cars competing in this category are not allowed to cost more than €30,000. A single season in a Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000. The Spanish F4 is planned to be the one of the second phase Formula 4 championships. JK Racing Asia Series, formerly known as both Formula BMW Asia and Formula BMW Pacific, was a Open wheel car, single-seater racing series based in Asia. Formula BMW Asia was created in 2003 as a replacement for Asian Formula 2000 and was under the management of Motorsport Asia Limited. It was renamed Formula BMW Pacific for the 2008 season. 2016 Guia Race Of Macau
The 2016 Guia Race of Macau was the eleventh and final round of the 2016 TCR International Series season as well as the fifth and final round of the 2016 TCR Asia Series season. It took place on 20 November at the Guia Circuit. Stefano Comini won the first race, driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR and Tiago Monteiro gained the second one, driving a Honda Civic TCR. Success Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, James Nash received +30 kg, Roberto Colciago +20 kg and Kevin Gleason +10 kg. Nevertheless, Colciago and Gleason did not take part at this event, so they did not take the ballast. The 2016 TCR Asia Series season is the second season of the TCR Asia Series. Teams and drivers Michelin is the official tyre supplier, but Neric Wei and Edgar Lau used Yokohama tyres at Macau. The ninth-generation Honda Civic is a range of compact cars (C-segment) manufactured by Honda between 2011 and 2017, replacing the eighth-generation Civic. It was launched in the North American market in April 2011, Europe in February 2012 and Asia-Pacific in early 2012. Four body styles were introduced throughout its production run, which are sedan, coupe, hatchback and a station wagon version marketed as the Civic Tourer. Zhuhai International Circuit
Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) (simplified Chinese: 珠海国际赛车场; traditional Chinese: ) is located at Jin Ding town in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. Motorsport started in Zhuhai when it hosted a race on its street circuit in 1993. Racing continued there until 1996 when the motor racing circuit was constructed and became China's first permanent motor race track with Formula One in mind. The circuit was designed by Australian company Kinhill Engineers Pty Ltd, the same group which created the Formula One circuit in Adelaide. The project manager for the project was Michael McDonough. The first international race held at the circuit was the BPR Global GT Series. 2016 China Formula 4 Championship
The 2016 F4 Chinese Championship season (Shell Cup FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the second season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 23 April at the Zhuhai International Circuit and finished on 6 November at the Guangdong International Circuit after five triple-header rounds, all of them co-hosted with the China Formula Grand Prix championship. The 2016 TCR International Series was the second season of the TCR International Series. Stefano Comini successfully defended his title, beating his nearest challenger James Nash by 2.5 points. Craft-Bamboo Racing were crowned teams' champions beating Leopard Racing with 73 points margin, while Seat Léon TCR won the models' championship.
