2016 TCR Asia Series
The 2016 TCR Asia Series season is the second season of the TCR Asia Series. Teams and drivers Michelin is the official tyre supplier, but Neric Wei and Edgar Lau used Yokohama tyres at Macau. Calendar and results The 2016 schedule was announced on 14 December 2015, with six events scheduled. Later, the round in Sepang (7 August) was canceled and a round in Shanghai was added. Championship standings Drivers' championship † – Drivers did not finish the race, but were classified as they completed over 75% of the race distance. The TCR Asia Series is an annual touring car racing event that is held at various locations across Asia. History TCR Asia Series was announced on 14 August 2014 by the organisation behind the TCR series under the name TC3 Asia Series - later changed to TCR Asia Series along with the other announced series. Narasak Ittiritpong
Narasak Ittiritpong (born 30 July 1983) is a Thai racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship. Having previously competed in the Thailand Super Series, Thai Rally Championship and Thai Honda Civic Racing Festival amongst others. Racing career Ittiritpong began his career in 1997 in the Thai Rally Championship, he raced there until 1999, winning the title in 1998. He also raced in the Thai Rallycross Championship in this period and won the title in 1998 and 1999. In 2000 he made his circuit racing debut in the Thai GT Championship, finishing second in the championship standing in 2000 and 2001. He returned to rallying in 2003, again choosing the Thai Rally Championship, finishing second in the standings that year and winning the title the next year. Nattachak Hanjitkasen (born 1 June 1992) is a Thai racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship. Having previously competed in the Thailand Super Series and TCR Asia Series. Racing career Hanjitkasen began his career in 2015 in the Thailand Super Series, he finished sixth in the S2000 class standings that year. For 2016 he switched to the all new 2016 TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship, where he also took part in the 2016 TCR Asia Series round held in Thailand. TBN MK Racing Team is a Thai auto racing team based in Bangkok, Thailand. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2016. "Henry" Ho Wai Kun (, born January 12, 1982) is a racing driver from Macau. "Michael" Ho Hon Keong (born 29 November 1968) is a Macanese racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Asia Series. Having previously competed in the European F3 Open, Formula V6 Asia and Macau Grand Prix amongst others. Racing career Ho began his career in 1997 in the Macau Grand Prix, he continued to race at the Macau Grand Prix up until 2010. He also took part in the China Formula Campus Challenge and ELF Formula Campus International series' in 1998. In 1999 he raced in the Asian Formula Renault 2000 Challenge, he also raced there in 2001. In 2005 he had a single start in the Australian Formula 3. "Kenneth" Ma Hon Wah (born 24 March 1960) is a Hong Kong racing driver currently competing in the TCR Asia Series. Having previously competed in the Clio Cup China Series and Asian Formula Renault Series among others. Racing career Ma began his career in 2000 in the Formula 2000 Asia, finishing the season 7th in the standings. He was switched to the Asian Formula Renault Series in 2004, racing in the series for many years before switching to the Asian GT Championship in 2008.
