2016 Guia Race Of Macau
The 2016 Guia Race of Macau was the eleventh and final round of the 2016 TCR International Series season as well as the fifth and final round of the 2016 TCR Asia Series season. It took place on 20 November at the Guia Circuit. Stefano Comini won the first race, driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR and Tiago Monteiro gained the second one, driving a Honda Civic TCR. Success Ballast Due to the results obtained in the previous round, James Nash received +30 kg, Roberto Colciago +20 kg and Kevin Gleason +10 kg. Nevertheless, Colciago and Gleason did not take part at this event, so they did not take the ballast. In addition, the Balance of Performance was reviewed for this round: all TCR cars were given a 20 kg weight break, bringing them back to their base weights. Guia Circuit
The Guia Circuit, or Circuito da Guia, is a street circuit located at the southeast region of the Macau Peninsula in Macau. It is the venue of the Macau Grand Prix and Guia Race of Macau. The circuit consists of long straights and tight corners, and features the characteristics of a typical street circuit - narrow, bumpy and limited overtaking opportunities. However, there are two special features that can rarely be found in other street circuits - variation in altitude (over between highest and lowest point of the circuit) and an ultra long main straight that allows top speed of on Formula Three cars. James Nash (racing Driver)
James Nash (born 16 December 1985, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire) is a British auto racing driver. On 16 October 2011 at the final round of the 2011 BTCC season he clinched the independents' championship. In 2014, he is competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series for the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. Racing career Early years Nash raced in karting until 2005 when he started racing in Formula Ford cars. He took one win, two poles, two fastest laps, one second and one third out of the six races in his first season. He was nominated for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award in 2006. Cheuk Wai "Andy" Yan (; born 21 October 1983) is a Hong Kong racing driver currently competing in the TCR Asia Series and Chinese Touring Car Championship. Racing career Yan began his career in 2011 in the Chinese Touring Car Championship, he won the championship in 2011 and 2013, he ended 2nd in 2012 and 3rd in 2014. Attila Tassi (born 14 June 1999) is a Hungarian racing driver currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup. Having previously competed in the SEAT León Eurocup, TCR International Series and Hungarian Suzuki Cup. Target Competition is an Italian auto racing team based in Eppan an der Weinstraße, Italy. The team is currently competing in the World Touring Car Cup and others TCR series. The team has previously raced in the TCR Europe Touring Car Series, SEAT León Eurocup and TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom and Eurocup Clio amongst others. Files won both championships in 2013. Maťo Homola (born 19 July 1994, in Bratislava) is a Slovak racing driver. He is currently driving in TCR Europe in Target Competition with Hyundai i30 N TCR.
